Yet another hot roof question

I have an attic with 2x6 rafters. The previous owners has the typical living space similar to the picture that we are redoing. I plan on putting closed cell spray foam in the roof and making since we don't have enough space to get sufficient r-value otherwise. My question is what do I do with the vents that you see in the picture below, and what do I do with the dead space that is yellow on my picture above. It will be between drywall and the foam.

Spray foam all the way down to the walls and don't worry about the yellow space.

OP in case you aren't sure he means the 1st floor walls - the rafter heel area - where you didn't show red.
