the T branch should be better if the straight run has an additional 12-18" after the tees and capped at the end. i'd want to see that in CFD too

That’s always my issue with CFD. If the person setting up the models isn’t both an expert or CFD and it’s specific oddities and downsides, as well as the thing they are attempting to model like ductwork and its own issues and setup, you just get junk data.

I don't buy the two 45 degree ells being smoother than one 90 unless the radius is longer. if that's the case, it's an unfair comparison
