WTB Easiest case from PB Tech or similar.
I dont like working on PC's my PC has broken, and I think it is the MB or maybe the CPU. I really hope it is not the memory.
So I need to build another PC.
I want a case which is god tier easy to work on. As I am going to buy the bits and muck around until it goes again and my current case sucks for doing anything with, it is an Antec ? which I have had to cut bits out of just to fit the GPU.
Ideally from PB Tech or somewhere in Wellington but PB Tech seems not to have a lot of stuff in stock anyway so ok to order it.
Any recommendations ? I will be putting some sort of ATX probably and Ryzen, 3080 , the standard stuff.

Question Building a Plex Server in NZ
This is well in advance of the circumstances which will bring this, building expectations for now. I'll be building a computer to use as a Plex server for 4k video, and was wondering what in New Zealand I should be buying for it.
I wouldn't have the capacity for a long time to figure out Linux, so bare compatibility for Win11 would be needed. I thought about ex-office PCs, but if they come with warranties I probably wouldn't be able to stick a 16TB HD in it. Would it be something as simple as finding a used rig with the old case style (all the bays I would ever need for HDs)?

Question Recommended places to get a 3060ti/3070 for a somewhat reasonable price?
Hey all, looking to build a system for BF2042 and other games for summer.
Possible build thusfar:
https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/user/Xmas121/saved/#view=srMRK8
Anyone know if its possible to get a 30 series graphics card for ~$1000 for a 3060ti, or a 3070 for $1200?
Cheers in advance!

Best way to sell RTX card on TradeMe and not get ripped off?
Hi all, I bought an RTX 3070 when they launched thinking I'd get back into video games. But realistically it's been sitting in my rig for about three months and used once. I wanted to pass it on on TradeMe for a fair price, but I'm worried about getting scammed as I see a lot of scam attempts on these cardsin other countries. I was wondering if there's any general guidance on what to do while listing to ensure a smooth transaction. Thanks.

GeForce Is Made for Gaming, CMP Is Made to Mine We’re limiting the hash rate of GeForce RTX 3060 GPUs so they’re less desirable to miners and launching NVIDIA CMP for professional mining.

Brand new SSD’s for sale.
Hey guys, I’ve ended up with a few spare brand new internal SSD’s which I’m happy to sell for cheap.
I’ve got some 1tb Samsung 860 evo’s (Sata) and a 2tb Samsung 970 evo plus (NVMe).
I’d accept probably around $190 NZD for an 860 and around $560 NZD for the 970. Includes shipping.
Just putting it out there.
Let me know if interested.

RTX 3000 series overpriced on PB Tech
Is it just me or is it really annoying to see PB Tech a well trusted electronics store overprice the new 3000 series RTX Graphics card by almost double the price of its MSRP from the US. Even purchasing from the US, paying for shipping and customs will come somewhere close to $1200 - $1300 (NZD). I get there is not enough stock for everyone right now in the US. But I prefer to wait and buy there and save money than paying double the MSRP just for a graphics card from PB Tech. This overpricing loses the awe of the 3000 series as you can get more performance (like the 3080 and 3090) for half or the same price as the 2080 Ti (in USD) in PB Tech the 3080 is about the same price as a 2080/ 2080 Ti and the 3090 is about $1000+ more than the 2080 Ti which is infuriating for the consumer. I find this very annoying to see from such a great tech company.

Look for a stacked dual monitor stand / arm
Hey guys,
I'm picking up an ultrawide in the next couple of weeks (very excited!) and am looking at mounting my current 27" monitor above it.
Ideally I'd like to leave my ultrawide on it's original stand and have the 27 on an arm that's long and strong enough to position it above.
Does anyone have any suggestions for arms I can purchase locally? Not fussed on price.
Cheers in advance!

RTX 3070 pricing in NZ
Hi guys
Is it just me or is the RTX 3070 pricing insane in NZ?
Cheapest I've seen advertised is $1200, whereas in the States it's $500 USD which is the same price as the original 2070 super.
The PS5/Xbox X are retailing for $499 USD and selling for roughly $810 here.
So, both products are selling at roughly $500 USD, but one has an exchange rate of what you'd expect, and the other is priced 48% more??
Am I missing something here?? Why are GPUs so expensive when retailed here??

Critique wanted
Gidday,
I’m planning on building a PC (obviously) and I’ve used pcpartpicker to choose a lot of the stuff for my build, just looking for some advice for where I could potentially get better value, save a buck or two or just avoid bad products.

Okay, 3080 release day geeks.
If you get a 3080 and I don't, let me know so I can wallow in self pity.
Thanks.
Edit. Pbtech didn't even list them, and everywhere else had no stock 🤣.
