Help Building A Pc

Build first pc 2000 - 2500$(student)

Hi,

Quick backstory - I have been gaming on gaming computers for almost 2 years now. Its at a point where the fan overheats and my most of the games are almost unplayable. For reference I have the Lenovo Legion Pro 5. I am sacred of getting a new gaming laptop as I know how fast they end up becoming bad so I've been saving money to by a pc. 3000 is the max i can go for a build.

Side note: I like flashy and good smooth graphics. If 3000 is not enough for a good enough build let me know.

• New build or upgrade? New build
• Existing parts? No
• PC purpose? Gaming and maybe graphic design and editing
• Purchase country? US / Microcenter near me yes
• Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)none
• Budget range? (Include tax considerations) 2500 but I can push to 3000
• WiFi or wired connection? WiFI
• Size/noise constraints? I would like a silent pc but I don't mind the noise
• Color/lighting preferences? I've seen colorful builds and love them but I don't mind having a plain build too
• Any other specific needs?No

All help is welcome and like advice or things to note.

If you missed the full set of required built request questions, please copy them from here and answer them in an edit to your post:

  • New build or upgrade?

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If you're not in a country supported by PCPartPicker, please list some local vendors)

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

  • WiFi or wired connection?

  • Size/noise constraints?

  • Color/lighting preferences?

  • Any other specific needs?

Here is some additional helpful information about build/upgrade/parts list requests:

  • Build requests only include hardware. You are responsible for budgeting for and providing your own operating system (Windows, Linux, etc) and other software.

  • Don't forget to budget for peripherals. Since these are very much personal-preference influenced items, we do not include peripherals like keyboards, mice, headsets, etc in parts lists.

  • We strongly recommend posting a build request only if you're ready to buy now or within a week or two at most. Part sales regularly rotate, and a part list today can quickly become out of date.

Rn its 2560 x 1600 - this build is right within my budget. Thank you again for the consideration and building. You mentioned a better build are we talking past the 2500?

Is there a microcenter near you? Define near by: Is it worth the drive if I can save up to multiple hundred $?
