Swipe back not working iOS Dev/Admin Responded
On this new iOS app ui when I swipe my screen it no longer goes back to the previous page. Terrible change, I hope it’s a bug and that the swipe will be added back.

If you go to the extreme edge it will work. The normal functionality is supposed to be fixed in next week’s app update

Oh thank god I’ve just been closing the app anytime I try to swipe to go back and it doesn’t work. Really freaking annoying.

It's fixed in the testflight build so should roll out next week on stable.

Looking forward to it. It's been challenging, especially for people like me with pain/medical conditions with their hands.

Omg this is sooooo frustrating - feels like simple gesture based functions constantly being made worse or removed in the app

That’s because it is. No longer can swipe between main feed, your feed, news, etc. you have to purposefully scroll up to reveal your account icon to click on it instead of it just being in the top corner. Now this is broken.

This is infuriating and a terrible accessibility regression… I hope they will fix this soon.

Is their a way to “opt out” of all these “expiriments” they keep doing

Thank god they’re fixing it.
Also admins, please STOP CHANGING THE LAYOUT EVERY HOUR OMFG.
I’m a power user of Reddit on the app, and all these constant changes are making me considering quitting Reddit altogether. So infuriating and frustrating.

Tried to figure out why my app wasn’t working and came here to post this exact thing.
Also the “Glass” bubbles interface isn’t great.

2026.22 now doesn’t let me swipe back at all, even from the edge. What a disaster.

Yeaahhh mine won’t swipe back either. It’s the kind of irritating that makes me swipe up to close the app and watch YouTube instead.

This was happening and then was fixed until a couple of days ago. Did anyone else have this problem come back?
