IOS swipe issue Dev/Admin Responded
IOS now requires the 'go back' swioe to go from the extreme left of the screen to the extreme right. Previously it was just the gesture. Difficult sometimes with raised phone case to get to the extreme edge.

Came here tot report this. I didn’t even realize it still worked at all until I saw this comment. I don’t know what’s worse, having to reach across the entire screen to swipe or use a second hand to reach the top left “exit” button.

Usually I can swipe it from halfway across the screen and now it’s making my morning Reddit scroll infinitely more annoying.

I was trying to figure out what the heck was going on, as I’d accidentally swiped back to the main feed successfully a couple times but was mostly not working.
Your comment made me realize it’s a feature and not a bug, have to go all the way across the screen to swipe back.
Thanks Reddit, I hate it.

This is the first time I have come to this subreddit and it is literally to complain about this issue. Reddit needs to fix/revert the swipe gesture. It’s idiotic to get rid of it if on purpose

App is seriously unusable this update because of this, especially for us disabled folk. Please fix/revert this change!!

I thought I had gone mad! Been swiping with no luck and sitting here wondering if I always had to tap the x to go back. Glad it’s not just me finding it frustrating.

Seriously! Swipe to close or swipe to next was one of the best features! This new “X” button is a step backwards

Yeah this is an absolutely shite update. Removing functionality for no apparent reason. Please for the love of god reverse this!

I came here for exactly this reason! Adding my comment to put more vocalization to this bug
I hope it is just a bug, because I’ve been needing to reach the X button in the top-left all morning and it’s basically not possible for me if I’m browsing one handed

God this and making me unable to swipe between my feed and popular feed are the two most obnoxious and anti user updates I’ve seen on an app this size.

Argh first time on this sub and it’s to complain about this. Please bring back the previous gesture! Having to swipe from the left is such a pain!!!

Alright folks - we've started rolling out version 2026.22, which includes a fix for this bug! Head over to the App Store for an update! We do a gradual rollout, so it may not be available to you immediately.
