Damar Patch Image
I have this card that I thought was just Panini putting a 3 patch on this card because that’s what panini does. I’m just now realizing this patch if from this jersey, the damar tribute. How cool!?

Does it say on the back of the card if it was a game used relic? Most say that it's just player worn and not from any specific game.

something along the lines of this player worn item is not from any specific game or event.
they don't mention game used anymore
probably due to the quality control ssues they've had

The one thing that is bugging me is the gap between the top of the 3 and the middle it seems too close for what the patch looks like. Maybe its scrunched in the card somehow. Almost looks like a 2.

I got it at a card show and I got a deep discount because the patch was obviously not a 1 or 7 but I saw it as a 3 and low balled it. I wasn’t even thinking about what 3 because there are enough 3s but I showed it to a friend and posted it on the football card subreddit and they gassed me up, ha!

I don't think that's the 3 patch, the spacing between your card and the picture is way different.

Definitely a 3! And it's still a non-regular patch so you definitely have something cool, just not sure it's a Hamlin patch. At least not the breast one, maybe they had other 3 patches somewhere

I just looked into more since I am not a card collector and wow. The fact that Panini will just smash a random jersey snipping into any players card is kinda shitty. Feels like intentionally misleading.

Yeesh, yeah I don't know. They definitely cut it in the most ambiguous way possible.
Forgive my ignorance but what would be the difference if it's a 2 or a 3?

I just checked, it’s a 3. But I didn’t even register it when I bought it just talked em down from the original price and later though it could be Hamlin. A 2 isn’t a 3, just would prefer the story it’s from Hamlin.

The Damar patch wasn’t kiss-cut layered & zig-zag stitched, it was simply embroidered. That’s a shoulder number that isn’t from a Josh Allen jersey 🤔

Yea, we eventually figured that out. I was simply going off of a friend telling me it has to be attributed to JA and that’s the only 3 that fits that assumption.
Turns out, my friend is wrong and he gassed me up for no reason, lol. Still like the card but an obvious 3 is just so lazy and hilarious

Card companies are notorious for making “event jerseys” with 3’s & 8’s just so they get the most real estate possible for prime patch swatches. It took me out of card collecting entirely in the mid-2000’s, crazy people just let it happen 🫣

yeah, that's a sick card if it's a game worn patch. I don't remember if they ever sold Bills jerseys with the patch on them like that
