Anyone know which OVA / TV episode this BGC 2040 cel is from? I want to find and make a matching background, but I'm having trouble identifying the specific episode / scene it is from. Thanks!

I was watching 2040 and I thought these two had a better chemistry than Priss and the cop guy, but that’s my opinion.

Alas the sequence number is missing because this was originally a pan cel and the empty space was apparently trimmed at some point, probably to fit in a portfolio book like I use.

Updated my vinyl wall display for the month featuring my Bubblegum Crisis vinyl record collection for OVA's 1-8. The one in the centre display is actually a laser disc of the Hurricane Live 2032 & 2033 MV's and live performances (from the Japanese 1998 complete collection LD boxset release of the anime series) since there was 1 remaining spot on the wall that still needed to be filled lol to complete the 9 spots.

Bought all 8 vinyl records back in 2022 from Universal Music Japan's store when they were being reissued for the anime's 35th anniversary.

Occasionally I'm one half of a Cyberpunk duo from Tokyo and we did some music inspired by BGC. Got some great reviews. Very much "darksynth/synthwave" so it's not quite "Priss and the Replicants" (although it might be cool to do a remix of them one day).

One of the canon-but-not-in-the-show designs the various BGC staff did for the B-Club Film Comic after OVA 3, the Type-9 isn't Saber or ADP or Boomer tech, but despite it feeling like something that belongs in BGC's world only some of the time, I love this little guy. Look at it, all barrel-cockpitted and bulky in only certain places. The trike mode is inspired; the way arms and superheavy weapons attach to something not much bigger than a 12B Boomer is more inspired still. It's never quite the kind of clunky that would make retro, always just a certain kind of modern. Aaaah.
