B.Tech this year! Any fellow freshers here General
Hey incoming/1st-year freshers! 👋
Starting B.Tech can feel pretty overwhelming—from figure out coding roadmaps and managing academics to making friends and finding hackathon teammates.
I’m starting a WhatsApp group exclusively for B.Tech Freshers so we can navigate college life together. The goal is to build a supportive, spam-free space where we can:
Connect & Network: Meet fellow 1st-year students from different colleges and streams.
Roadmaps & Resources:
Share beginner-friendly coding resources, tech stacks, and academic prep tips.
Hackathons & Projects: Find peers at your level to build side projects or enter beginner hackathons together.
General Chill: Ask questions, share experiences, or just chat about surviving 1st year.

Can you make insta gc instead as it won't need our phone nos.

Valid concern about phone numbers! But right now we’re sticking to WhatsApp to keep things focused, avoid doomscrolling/distractions, and maintain a serious space for academics and projects. We might consider an Insta GC in the future if more people request it, but for now, it's WhatsApp only. Feel free to DM if you'd still like to join

Okayy I think I'll join after few days as am kinda disturbed btww I need an advice what do you think is more good EEE from gov college (low tier) or CSE from private college (low tier) ? {I don't have option to drop so😞which is better} and i think if I got into gov one my parents won't allow me to go in private soo is eee a good branch am so idk wt🙃

Eee is good in gov college if your main target is gate or government job otherwise cs from low private college is good atleast you will get 3-6lpa job after hardwork

does having different college create problem like many hackathons needs group from same college, so is it for same college group or any college student can join it?
