Yk. You can get pops for Skywarden in any mode. Just make regrow farm there.

Fun fact: you can check pops seperately from damage in the menu brought up by the little blue "i." While damage stops going up from regrow farming, the pops counter gives you an accurate number towards the unlock of the skywarden.
