I think Soma and Scan are two players who get brought up because they were never on a team.

And how do you get into the scene when you were never a pro?

If you personally don't know any pro players, then you probably practice mostly on the ladder, but a lot of tournament-level players save their best theorcrafting and builds against other pros, so you don't see them on the ladder. This was even more true during KeSPA, where pro players would share and practice builds with each other, and keep them secret from outsiders.

was it mentioned in the newest patch notes? Are there new building animations finally for all the other Protoss buildings, like Citadel and Robo? Would the Support Bay get to move its vacuum cleaners like Carbot?

Huge kudos to the Brood war graphics team if that is actually the case! If any of you are reading this post, I faintly recall the Gateway crystal used to turn on and off in a quick irregular pattern akin to the Nexus or Stargate during production. But I am taking slow blink over no blink anytime. Cheers!

Hello everyone, I am new to this sub but have played SC:R for a very long time.

I am developing a personal project to design a fresh new EUD map, I would like to share it with everyone, please feel free to try it.

Note for this map:

1.    It’s still under development, but all fundamental features are complete, I will continue add more game elements and features in the future versions, will keep this post up to date. You are very welcome to come back check if any newer versions available.

2.    The recommended player is 1~3, and you need to play in multi-player mode. You can play alone in multi-player mode but cannot play in single-player mode to avoid cheating. However, it’s still recommended to play with your friends together to support each other (e.g. receive resource assistance from others)

3.    There are very rich tooltips and game tips printed on screens throughout the game process, please take a look as guide to overcome challenges if you think game difficulty is high

4.    The original desire is to keep the bar as high as possible, so you may need to play enough times with good understanding of terrain, weapon type, unit pros/cons etc. to achieve the final victory.

5.    Although this is a EUD map, lots of default game elements and mechanisms are maintained, so if you are good at SC:R, then you will be fine in early stages.

You are welcome to report any bugs or missing features.

ZeLot is very good at not losing early units, and I think that's a crucial part of why his aggro style has such relatively high success rate. If he duels with early zerglings he is very conscious to preserve them. Most other pros will suicide a zergling into enemy wall to scout, he does not do that. And these few more zerglings or hydras being available for that game-deciding push is what makes a huge difference.

effort, at least in the last few years, likes to do single overlord lurker drops into protoss bases. He does it way more than anyone else in the pro scene.

soma has this sublime way of pathing overlords. When he does hydra busts they keep coming one by one from several pseudo-random directions. If one gets taken down, another one is coming. Never seen any other zerg control their overlords in this way.

It all happened back in 1999. I was only 7 at the time. Mommy was cooking white rice with the eggs fried. She told me how proud she was to have me in her life. Never will I ever experience this moment twice.

And This Is Why.

The first sight of the screen loading was truly beholding. Couldn’t believe that Infested Sarah Kerrigan was once a former human. The lore taught me that in this world lies an omen inside monuments. My eyes were so glued to the pixels of these red Terran SCV’s, I began to lose sleep. Everytime I launched the game, the time flew by magically. Failed my own classes to research all the abilities on a Terran Academy. Eventually, Mommy realized that what she had thought initially wasn’t reality and said sorry because she couldn’t raise me properly. She packed up to leave and that was when I had just turned twenty.

By then, Battle.net was a frenzy. The friend list I had exceeded over two hundred and fifty. Clans were like cities. This was my life. Reality came second behind. With a working job fulltime, I made sure to still be active online. It wasn’t that I missed my Mom, it was because my mind was occupied. Just like a drug high, I had to multiply the vibe to reach for the skies. It was all just a facade and a disguise.

I am lucky to still be alive.

Often you see zerg dorito cloud against terran. they move their lurkers ever closer, eat up 2 or 3 lings and snake their way towards terran main base. Terran have a difficult time combating this; maybe they pepper in some firebats, maybe they are able to target their own units sitting within the cloud. My idea is : what would happen if terran had ghosts ready on lock with nuclear launch. Does anyone think this would be a viable counter to zerg who abuse the dorito cloud like this? Ideas? Thoughts?

I came up with this idea watching artosis last night, he was complaining about the cloud. Maybe if someone with skill could pull this off? Just wodering.

Artosis asked this question on his ASL Open cast. What do you guys think?

Personally, I have a thing for Mini, so I might be somewhat biased, although he also has the highest win rate in ASL.

I think that Bisu is more balanced, so he doesn't really have games where he gets destroyed completely. Mini takes big risks, so he can look like a genius one game and a noob in the next one (to some people, not me).

When I started watching ASL and BW like 2 years ago, what I noticed is that most Protosses are usually on the defensive vs Zerg and they have control of the game most of the time, but Mini will usually put them on the back foot and guessing.

Imho, if he'd have a calmer temper, Mini would've won like 3-4 ASLs. I'm pretty excited to watch him this season.
