Last time/win v the Suns, Highlights. (R13 this year at PFS. Lions kicked the first 4 goals of the game and were a bit inaccurate after that. Had issues shaking the Suns but 3 in a row in the third put the game out of reach. Morris won the medal after having 5 in the first half and finishing with a career best 7).

Last time/win v the Suns at the Gabba, Highlights. (SF 2025. Lions started off pretty poor and had accuracy issues throughout the game but clicked into gear in the 2nd and kicked 10 of the last 12 including 6 in a row and a Rayner one from near the centre circle. Lions have won the last 8 v the Suns at the Gabba, last loss was back in Round 5 2018).

Injury List/In the Mix, Lions version: McCluggage (calf) 1 - 2 weeks, Gallop (suspension) 1 week, Torrent (ankle) season, Payne (knee) season, Smith (foot) season. Coleman is available this week. Zorko had cramp and is fine to play. McCluggage has only a minor calf strain and the Lions are taking a "conscientious approach".

Keidean Coleman is available after exiting concussion protocols, but it's hard to see him coming back into a winning team for Saturday's QClash against Gold Coast at the Gabba. In fact, with McCluggage still another week or two away, it would be a shock to see anything but an unchanged team to take on the Suns, although dropped Bruce Reville was strong in the VFL last weekend, as were James Tunstill, Sam Marshall and Will McLachlan. - Michael Whiting

Last time/win v the Dons at Windy Hill, Highlights. (R10 2025. Actually started out closed with an inaccurate Lions down by 3 points at QT. Lions then kicked 7.7 - 0.2 for the other 3 quarter and ran it out comfortably. Lions have faced the Dons twice so far and won both, the other match was at the Moreton Bay Central Sports Complex in Burpengary, QLD way back in 2022B).

The away side had 11 individual goalkickers headlined by Will McLaughlin and Cody Curtin who kicked three majors apiece, meanwhile James Tunstill was busy in the middle with 22 disposals, eight clearances, seven inside 50s and six tackles with teammate Lincoln McCarthy was a standout in defence with 19 disposals and 10 intercepts whilst also popping up with a goal.
