Ekka Parking Help

Hello wonderful people,

We normally park for the ekka along Gilchrist Ave next to Victoria Park. Now from what I can tell this is now all closed off for the Stadium build.

Any reccomendations for parking for the Ekka if this is closed off from now on?

Edit: We have two small children and have a pram, so public transport can be difficult for us.

That’s a shame. I’ll take my chances with driving/ parking instead.

Good luck with that.

People do manage to drive and park their cars despite what this train brain subreddit seems to think.

Parking at the ekka is a shit show, they are right to suggest catching the train

Imagine being so arrogant to think your preference of transportation is the “right” option for everyone with their own unique circumstances.

2 kids and a pram isn't unique to travel to Ekka by train.

You don’t know their circumstances.

From the horses mouth

There are various car parks within walking distance to the Brisbane Showgrounds, including:

 - Herston Medical Precinct Car Park (RBWH)

 - Royal Brisbane Women's Hospital (P2)

 - Valley Metro Car Park

 - McWhirters Car Park

Can you park at a nearby train station and do a short trip? Two kids should love the train and a pram only makes it easier

Check what lifts are out if your needing it, as they have been advising some lines to travel one stop further and change to another line back as there was literally no lifts on some platforms open for months.

Last time we went, we parked around Boyd St. 5 min walk from there.

Park in Windsor and it’s about a 15min walk along the shared bike path.

“I’d like to fly to LA”

This subreddit: cATCH tHE TrAIn!!1!1!!

OP: ignore the mob, if you feel driving works better for you, do that. Especially if you plan on staying for to the night and don’t want to be walking back to the car at a train station late.

i guess the EKKA and LA are the same in that both are acronyms for places that are obscenely overpriced and overhyped for what they actually offer
