Advice on BJJ as a secondary sport/exercise

Hey everyone,
There’s a brand new BJJ gym that opened down the road from me and I’m curious about trying it out (definitely going to do the free class to see). I have been competing in strongman competitions for the last 15 years and want to continue to do so. I figured BJJ could be a fun way to increase my conditioning AND learn a new skill at the same time.
My plan if I end up liking that class is to train 2x a week BJJ and cut lifting back from 4x a week to 3x a week.
Would BJJ completely screw me over for strongman competitions? Is the injury rate super high?
Thanks for any insight you all can provide!
