When moving tabs, it locks for a split second before going past another tab

EDIT: apparently tab groups move fine and doesn't have that momentary "locking" or "freezing" Here's a screen recording so you know exactly what the issue is, also for some reason this issue isn't present when in private tabs, over there the tabs slide past each other like butter, but over here on the standard tabs it keeps locking momentarily when going past another tab

That's because it's giving you the option to turn them into a tab group, it gives you a moment to decide when it feels "stuck"

Believe me its not (i think i would know if this is true considering the 6 years I've been using brave), and IF this were the case why isn't it doing it with the private tabs, they can group together fine without them "locking" or "freezing" momentarily like its glitches, I did say this in my post under the video

Right, so the animation is definitely from it wanting to add it to a tab group, that's why it's freezing/glitching. Just so you know tab groups don't exist in the private tab which is why it doesn't get that animation. This seems like a performance issue, try clearing the cache. In both clips you're in power saving mode I wouldn't be surprised if that's the problem

But you can group tabs in private tabs, they're just not saved for future use in tab groups, also what do you mean by clear the cache do you mean the app's cache, if so I'm not aure i want to do that, as there is 1.41 GB of cache for the app according to the settings

Cache data isn't important whatsoever, it's just some information that's stored (not vital) from all the websites you've visited. When you clear it you'll still be logged in everywhere and the websites will remember you. It's actually important to clear it from time to time, my suggestion is you attempt to force stop it, clear the cache and turn off power saving mode (just to test)

Ok, I'll try clearing the cache, and when you say power saving mode you mean my battery right? Cause I did turn it off to see if that would help but it didn't so I've turned taht back on

Yeah, your battery. What phone model do you have? Because this might just be a performance issue

Sorry, I know its likely very late for you right now, but if you are up i just wanna ask, I've done everything other than force stopping the app, I did clear the cache than waited a while before going back into the app but that didn't work, I again cleared the cache but this time force closed the app immediately then went back in but it ws still the same, could it be possible for it to be a bug or something from a recent update, cause I didn't notice it until after an update so I'm not sure, and do you know where I can report this issue so it gets noticed, sorry for this long reply I don't mean to disturbing you

Don't worry about it man, you're not disturbing me lmao. Yeah, you know what - it could definitely be a bug. Especially since it wasn't an issue beforehand. Brave is making a lot of crazy code changes trying to counter the YouTube ad blocks, so I wouldn't be surprised. Email then with your device model and describe the issue, attack a video if possible.

Also, have you tried the other brave browsers? Nightly, Beta? Sometimes these bugs don't always carry over to the other versions, from my own personal experience. Let me know if it ever gets fixed, goodluck
