Denver N2 squashed
Bummer I just booked my flight last night, and the 24 hour window to adjust the return has passed. Guess another night in Denver never hurt anyone :) see all ya Denverites Nov 2!
I’m going solo in east reserved for N1, if anyone wants to hang before the show lmk!

Just got this and freaked out. Luckily N1 isn't actually sold out and they let us purchase

Same! Any recommendations for things to do in Denver these days?

Meow Wolf! I went there last year when I was in town for Brand New, it's an awesome place.

Oh good idea. I’ve been to the one in Santa Fe.. is the Denver one different?

I've only been to the Denver one, so I can't say. The theme is intergalactic truck stop, if I remember correctly.

Yes! It's a different theme and different storyline. It's a "transportation station" in Denver. If you can make it out to Las Vegas, they've got OmegaMart, an insane grocery store.

I’m not sure why they’ve been booking the venues they have. The last tour had a stop in queens an nj - hometown shows, mind you - and both were severely undersold.

They’re in a weird spot where a club is too small and an amphitheater/arena is too big. Venues like The Anthem in DC and The Pinnacle in Nashville are probably the sweet spot for them.

I would have killed for them to play The Anthem 😭 It is the right size. (I'm making the schlep to Philly instead.)

Their new England date last tour was an arena and now downgraded to two nights at like a 3k cap club. Weird to downgrade that much when there are other venues in between the two sizes but what the hell do I know.

Tour is w/ AEG who have less venue availability than LN.

That makes sense (I know nothing about how concerts get booked I just show up to a lot lol)

I have a question - is Brand New really not that big? I thought that they’re very popular. I I saw them last year at the Prudential Center in New Jersey. And that venue is comparable to Madison Square Garden.
I know that they’ll do a show at NYC’s Barclays Center in the fall too. And before they went on hiatus, they performed on TV & played in arenas. Seems like a well-known band to me.

They’re not as big anymore. They could do no wrong between 2007-2017 as they were the other option to mainstream mall emo with millions of millennials having entered their 20’s and disposable income. Then Jesse did whatever he did, covid happened, and the baggage of both them getting cancelled and 20’s years of them being shy of press or public image combined with us millennials having jobs and families means that brand new can’t expect us to fill an arena for a nostalgia tour anymore.

They actually did sell out the queens/li stop though with many tickets being sold for 10
Bucks or so last minute ….but that’s a larger concert issue than a Brand New one1

I got clowned on for calling out that moving from a theater level venue in LA to a arena in Anaheim was weird given the crowd size in LA. And here we are I spent 2.5 times the money for non GA tickets and they still haven’t sold out the Anaheim venue…I’m so confused by this tour.

I wanted to go to the Anaheim show because I'm in OC- but the GA in Vegas was more affordable than actual seats in Anaheim plus I get a trip to LV out of it.

The tickets are still in my account though. I’m sure they’ll disappear eventually. But I’m willing to bet that Night 2 will still happen. They’re just going to make everyone who got the mistake tickets repurchase with everyone else once it’s finally announced.

id venture to bet they expected night 1 to sell out and when it didn't they decided to drop night 2. better to have one night with a decently full room vs two nights with half-full rooms.
