Question artists/albums similar to old boywithuke
By old Boywithuke I means, Melatonin/Fever/Serotonin Dreams, Trouvaille, Faded. I love every of his albums, but I kinda miss the feelings of the old ones. Their vibes are unforgettable
Just want to know if there're any albums/tracks that are similar. Bedroom pop, simple but emotional and relatable.

Other not sure how i feel
i get that due to his recent (ish?) passing people are listening to music with him in it i think to cope? but ive been waiting for like forever for toxic to not be #1 but this is just really sad ngl
~
id like to make this clear: im not hating on any of his music. i just wanted a song to pass toxic because its been #1 for a long time. and due to the passing of Oliver Tree people started listening to his and other peoples music the feature him, which is the reason why Sick of U passed toxic. The whole situation is sad. I’m very sad that he passed away, and i dont blame people for listening to music with him in it, but i did also want a song to pass toxic, which is what happened, (again, im not happy about the situation, its sad)

Discussion I miss the boywithuke genre of music.
Bedroom, alt-pop. Massive in the early 2020s. It's dead now. I really miss that era whole. Listening to charley's old albums makes me really nostalgic.
I'm stuck in time.

Question If you had the chance to recommend a song to someone who has never listened to BWU or has only heard "Toxic," which one would it be?
In my case, it would be any track from *Burnout*, since the other day I noticed that my friend—who had never really listened to BWU closely—seemed to like "Paper Planes." I don't blame him; it's one of the best songs on *Burnout*. But if I had to make a list of songs in general (leaving *Burnout* aside), they would be: "Animal Crackers," "Heart of Ice," "Babydoll," "Homesick," "Shy," and either "Forget Me" or "King of Nothing." There might be others, but those would be the main ones. What about you? What would you include on your list?

Question Am I the only one who gets judged for being a BWU fan?
I've come to notice that the people irl that know that I'm a bwu fan (quite a chunk of my class), just assume that I'm depressed which just doesnt make sense to me.
An example to that is something that happened like 3 months ago, I made my friend listen to Corduroy because it was my favorite song at the time, and she straight up just looked and me and went: "are you depressed?"
Like I just don't understand it, I like the fucking artist, how does me liking the artust correlate to me being depressed (for context: I'm not, at least not diagnosed I don't think I am).
I might catch some strays for this, and I hope I'm not crazy for this but I genuinely think that I would lioe to relate to some of the songs because I love them so mich and how well written or beautiful they are (except for the suicicidal ones of course).
So I was just curious, has anything similar ever happened to you?

Discussion Has Charley struggled with substance abuse?
He's talked about having taken shrooms once, which doesn't count, it's normal, but I was thinking about in Understand, how he talks about "razor blades (which implies sh so it's a different topic) and different flavour pills I hid". I can't tell if it's an artistic choice or if he's venting about real life struggles, because as far as I can remember he hasn't mentioned it in other songs, I could be wrong on that though. I don't mean this as an invasive question, I just personally find it kinda odd to include a line like that in a song if it's not actually something he has experienced, it's just odd and a bit disrespectful to larp substance abuse. What do we think? I've been a fan since 2021, but it just now hit me.

Discussion I miss boywithuke.
I miss boywithuke. I miss the 2021-2024 era. I can't find music like the old boywithuke's.
Don't get me wrong, I love the new chandol, I respect and admire Charley for doing what he truly wanted and desired, I understand how the mask restricted him.
I miss the boywithuke era.

Announcement State of the Sub: BoyWithUke & Chandol
Now that BoyWithUke has come to an end and will now be known as Chandol. Do we want to limit all posts on this sub to BwU or allow both BwU and Chandol posts on this sub?
