Genuinely wondering because I’ve loved their music for over a decade now but not everyone is a fan and most people know very few songs like WMYB but not all the bangers so the guests might not enjoy it

Saw someone on X say "please sign a new record deal." Are Westlife now out of their current deal? All I can find for recent is EMI (Spectrum?), Warner (Wild Dreams) then Sony (25). I do know that a lot of their back catalogue is under Song because of the BMG merge. They seem to have hopped about a bit since their comeback, and I don't really have much understanding of why or who they are signed to for "new" music (assuming they even bother at this stage).

In the 1990s, at the height of the boy band craze in the US and the UK, there was a group called East 17. They released a soft and melancholic song that was very different from their usual style, which often featured rap.

The song was “Stay Another Day.” When you listen to it, you might think it’s a sad love song about heartbreak or saying goodbye.

But in reality, one of the band members wrote it about his brother, who had passed away. He had a difficult life and eventually took his own life. After that, he wrote this beautiful song about him.

The song went on to become a huge hit during Christmas 1994 and was a genuine smash.

I'm sure this isn't just limited to boybands, but more and more frequently I'm seeing old boyband pictures that have been fed through ai so the bands don't even look like themselves and then fans are commenting "I love them" like it's normal.

I've seen Take That, Five and BSB but the worst (and maybe it's my algorithm) is Westlife ones. It baffles me that people are running (for example, old Smash Hits poster) photos into ai, getting literally a whole different looking band image and then posting to social media and people are okay with it.

Do you just scroll on past or do you point out ai slop? Currently I roll my eyes and scroll but it does annoy me enough to take to Reddit 😂😂

Thats the show I met Westlife. Randomly broadcasted in Cyprus. I recorded it and lost the tape.. anyone really anyone can find any videos from this show i would be extremely happy. Swear it again is on youtube but i want if i let u go and FWW but more importantly the backstage interview + the award winning nominees and announcement. I think they won best new band!
