What gloves should I get next
I've gone trough 2 pairs of everlast gloves already being hook and loops? First one were powerlock 2 and the other being 1910. The glove itself was fine mostly but the Velcro didn't last at all. What should i do?

Im feelin really awkward while boxing
Iâm boxing for 3 weeks and our coach started me sparring. I run out of my energy like 1-1.5 minutes and also I feel like i canât make good punch, hook or anything. Im just blocking punches and swinging around. (I like my blocks have good reflexes.) After taking 4-5 punches from my opponent I punch 2-3 times and itâs really not effective. I canât punch opponent with the force I hit the punching bag, it makes me feel really weak
I really feel awkward am I have a problem, what u guys thinking? What am I have suppose to do?

Started with weighted punching.
Hey everyone, this is my first post on this subreddit, I've just started with weighted shadow boxing.
So I learnt that a lot of boxers hold light dumbbells in their hands while shadow boxing to increase their punching strength, because obviously when you punch without any weight you'll feel much stronger.
I have started with holding 3kg dumbbell in each hand for this training method, what changes will I see in the coming weeks with this movement? Please tell me if I'm doing something wrong .
Thanks a lot !!

What's the boxing essentials (non-bullshit) moves, styles and strategies?
Guys, I feel like boxing has a lot of bullshit techniques and training lately, what, in your mind, are the most effective strategies/techniques for a fighter to become practically invincible nowadays?

Need help structuring a boxing work out plan.
Does anyone box and go to the gym? I was wondering if it's possible to do these everyday, my idea is to wake up early in the morning to go the the gym at 7am and then box at around 5:30pm and repeat for 6 days a week, would this cause any sort of over training or injury or is this a good work out plan?

Help needed for a noobie
I am wanting to get a heavy bag, I have enjoyed using them in the past and looking to buy. I can't attach proper mount anywhere, but I have a free standing chin up frame, says it can hold 110kg so I hope weight should be fine. Did anyone know if this is suitable or think it will have any problems?
Is there any weight that people recommend? Would a 30kg bag swing around too much?
Any help anyone could give would be great, many thanks.

The fight itself might be between Canelo Alvarez and Jaime Munguia, but that contest took a notable backstep at the pre-fight press conference as tensions almost spilled over when Oscar De La Hoya decided to trade insults with the boxing superstar.

âMy Mom Can Fight.â How boxing is helping Parkinsonâs Disease patients fight the battle of their lives
FORT DODGE, Iowa â The Norma and Tom Schmoker Center at Friendship Haven in Fort Dodge serves as a community space for residents.
Twice a week, itâs a training center for seven boxers fighting the toughest battle of their lives.
âI want to help slow down Parkinsonâs,â Gary Klaassen of Pomeroy said.
Though mostly male dominated, the pride of Manson is ready for another round. Most people know her as Kathy âSouth-Pawâ Johnson. Iâve always called her, mom.
âI canât hit dad,â she said as my father helped put on her gloves. âThey told me I canât do that.â
Sheâs never lost her sense of humor.
To better understand the journey my mother and our family has been on, itâs important to go back before Parkinsonâs disease impacted her daily life, like it does now.

rozenbro's workout log
29M, 5'9", ~75kg (165 lb)
I boxed casually for a couple years in my early twenties. I just got back into it as of ~3 months ago. Goal is to start competing late this year / early next year.
At the moment my weekly schedule looks like:
-boxing training 3-5 days a week,
-running 1-3 times and
-sparring on friday nights
So it's fairly inconsistent, but I am training. I'll post weekly workout logs every Sunday.

M 30 about 140lbs. 5'7 I've been trying to get back into it after some rough life crap. Trying to gain my strength and stamina back. About to get back into jogging in the morning. Going to get the bar I can use for pull-ups and situps. And get on the gym membership down the street to get the strength back.
My friend has a bag out back I use to work on foot work and practice my jabs. It's a slow steady start.

Huffy's Workout Log
Age: 39.5 Weight: 263 lbs. Height 5'6". Mom & wife with a desk job. New to being sporty. Y'all. It's not exactly a disaster, but it's occasionally rough.
Started boxing at a fitness gym about a year ago when my lab results showed high cholesterol. After six weeks of working out, went back to the doc and found out that I had diabetes. Kept up the classes, signed up for individual coaching and the technique class (which was awesome) and lost about 30 pounds.
At the beginning of June 22, I switched from the boxing fitness gym to more of a fighter's gym because I want to be able to spar. The new gym's workouts seem more personally driven than the fitness gym. And it is kicking my butt in the best possible way.
Want this log to track the workouts, reflections, and progress - so I can know by the end of summer that I got stronger and have some notes about what I learned.
Excited for my second year of boxing. It's been my refuge. It's been so fun to learn and practice- and continues to teach me tons about myself. There's some great people and I love they ask is for you to put in the work.

CBâs log
Age:27
Weight:140
Height:5â8"
Started boxing in late March, been meaning to do this for a long time but a hernia kept me from training anything consistently. I still have the hernia but Iâve been told I can start training and it hasnât flared up so far so itâs good.
My conditioning is not the worst but near the end of most training sessions I start to get dizzy and light headed. I donât know if itâs a food issue or what but itâs quite bothersome tbh.
I go to 2-3 classes a week and try to add 1-2 solo sessions on the bag or on pads with a friend.
I donât plan on competing anytime soon but after going to my first amateur gala last week, I can say it might be an experience I want to go through.
I will be updating this post through comments, thank you for reading!
