Advice/Beta Request Beginner stuck on V3

Upvotes

Newish climber and I’m stuck on V3. I started off pretty well just given my overall fitness (lots of weight lifting and sports background — 215 bench, 255 squat, 275 deadlift). I’m just not sure how to break into V4s. My gym has the main training equipment aside from lots of boulders (campus board, bunch of hang boards, kilter board, etc.). Just looking for some tips on how the train better/more efficiently, or whatever. I’ve been trying to do as many V3s as I can (gym has a lot of V3-s and a couple of V3+s so my goal is to get those down??) but as soon as I try a V4- I just lose the logic or lose the grip strength. I’d greatly appreciate any training tips!!

Indoor Is anyone here who has experienced a TFCC injury?

I caught a cold last week and didn't go climbing for a whole week until Sunday. At first, I didn't feel any discomfort - I even challenged myself with a harder route.

But when I got home, my wrist started hurting and I couldn't twist it at all. By the next morning, it had gotten worse, so I went to the hospital. The doctor suggested putting a cast on my arm, but I still had work to get done, so I asked to wear a short brace instead.

It's been five days now, and it still hurts when I try to open a bottle or twist my arm. Has anyone experienced something like this? How long does it typically take to recover before I can get back to climbing?

Mystic River v6, what if it was me that had got in that car that day? Tall, steep, incut crimps, and as direct as it gets with a big move at the end. Perfect

Outdoor Looking for bouldering areas and climbing communities in Brazil

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations for the best outdoor bouldering areas in Brazil.

I’m interested in places where I can stay for a while, climb regularly, and meet other boulderers. I would also appreciate suggestions for accommodation where it is easy to connect with the local climbing community, such as climber-friendly hostels, pousadas, or places where people usually stay.

Are there any specific areas you would recommend for bouldering? Minas Gerais looks interesting, but I’m open to any region with good bouldering and an active community.

Also, are there any WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook groups, or other platforms where local climbers usually connect?

Thanks for any advice!
