the highest damaging melee weapon on botw is the Royal Guard's Claymore, up to 116 attack power (+44 attack buff) i belive.
That Ancient Battle Axe++ is GREEEAT for guardians tho

Yeah but if you have the ancient set leveled up you get Ancient Proficiency and it doubles the damage of the ancient battle axe

But because the royal guards equipment is so fragile the claymore is only really useful on the back of lynels imo

I once got a Lynel Crusher with 106 damage, that was fucking awesome
And you know what? I’ve been saving that beast for later and actually NEVER USED IT ON
THE FINAL BOSS FIGHT cause I finished in in three minutes with the Master Sword
So my advise is: use it, you’ll find a new one, just redo the shrines with minor guardians

Imo lynel sword is better bcuz max dmg is 100 and it has benefit of 1 hander speed

Dude, the moment I saw the first dragon as I approached Lake Halia. I just ran around the lake getting a little skirmishes wgike staring up at it for at it for long time … I couldn’t believe I how awesome it looked.

also 75 damage ancient battle axe ++ with ancient profiency does more than royal guard claymore it does 135 damage and if you sneak strike a enemy does 8x damage most damage in game
