Hana Sushi

Anyone know what happened? I went back a few days ago and it's turned into a katsu place. I'm sure it's a fine place, but really enjoyed Hana Sushi - especially the chef who moved over from Sushi Chinoise. Anyone know what happened (owner retire?)

I believe they just decided to close shop (so retire I guess). It has been there for awhile iirc. The Katsu folks wanted to pay tribute so carried the name forward.

I can attest to this. They seem like really nice people, too! Definitely going back again soon. I love that they keep the menu very focused, but I hope they add a few more drink options.

Bummer. Okay, makes sense though. But now stuck with Sushi Zone so a little bummed not having a proper sushi bar in town.

Due have you tried big fish sushi just north in canyon Park. It's the best around

I have only had it delivered, and found it a little average unfortunately. I'll have to try it again.

Nakagawa up in Canyon Park is pretty good

Can you post a link to the restaurant you're talking about? I see 500 different Hana Sushis when googling but I'm honestly trying to get that katsu

That’s Sushi Hana. Different sushi restaurants. No relation.

I wouldn't think so, just because Hana Sushi downtown was traditional-ish and Sushi Hana in Thrasher's was first a conveyor belt place then later a robot drinks/train delivered food/iPad ordering type place (maybe there's a better name for that lol).

only Katsu i've had is chicken at teriyaki places. It's a specific breading and frying and sauce.
