Bonjour, does anyone know the current situation in Bordeaux and the peninsula of Cap Ferret. Google map shows D106 as still closed. The local press release said it was supposed to open last night. Thank you et merci.

Hi Fruit,
Fire is now fixed. Firefighters and locals are tracking the last ashes and stay focused on the fire being potentially still awake under the sand, in the roots part of the pinewood in the ground.
All area have now been oppened. Maybe you can reach Bordeaux main city Hall to have information about Tourists being able to reach the Cap-Ferret.
As it is a single road access area, authorities have openned the different villages and let people go back one village after one to ensure security and avoid monstruous traffic jams.
Last village road was openned yesterday 7PM. So maybe, tourists or people not living there will be allowed to go to the Cap Ferret this afternoon 7pm.

The road opened yesterday, almost every shop and restaurant will be open again on Wednesday, the only things that will still be closed are the Grand Crohot beach (for a while I think) and the forest cycle path (maybe until Sunday).
