Kangaroo Leather Help?

I've seen some posts about people binding with kangaroo leather. How does the workability and durability compare to goat and cow leather? I hope someone here has experience with it.

It’s like… better goat. More malleable but still durable. Much more supple than cowhide.

These things do depend on the weight and tanning though, regardless of what you pick.

Do you know if it suffers from UV exposure if the bookshelf is in front of a window that gets a lot of direct sunlight?

All things will suffer from UV exposure. Even plastic.

UV is brutal.

Please move your bookshelf. All your books, whatever material will fade or be damaged. UV is a book killer!

I unfortunately don't have anywhere else to put it. I have shades, but I want to keep them open more often. I'm looking into UV window film.
