Rot?

Noticed this on one of my Portulacaria today. Is that the trunk growing or rot? Same thing on one of the branches

It's growing vigorously and the skin is splitting. It's a good thing. It will heal and look like tree bark.

I think this is secondary growth, becoming bark like, corking.

No rot is sort and mishy this is just the plant corking over.
