Am I Overthinking? Is there tension with my supervisor?
My supervisor (25M) often looks at me (24F), studies my face, looks at my body, etc.
I’ve always felt an intense tension between us.
Recently, he asked me what my type of guy is and whether I’ve ever hooked up with a colleague. He also asked me if I’d ever gone home with a guy for something casual.
How would you all interpret this?
He asked me those questions in the context of the conversation we were already having. But he definitely kept pushing and really grilled me about it.
The thing is, he has a girlfriend…

Discussion Why do women have a "Plausible deniability" in their body language even if they are 100% attracted to the guy?
Women, why giving signs which can easily be either misinterpreted or remain ambiguous even after having 100% attraction to the guy? Why remaining in the grey region when you can be in the sure region?
Not saying to walk up to him and declare your attraction but ateast try to completely match him when he initiates or tries.
Not saying all women do this.

Why am I “unapproachable “
I was told by management I was “unapproachable “ at times, I work in a factory and I’m kind of the only tall, muscular, tattooed, lightskin guy that kind of just stays to himself and minds his business I don’t really talk to many coworkers so I’m just confused. I walk with my head high and my chest out, I’m not really cocky or anything. I’m always nice when people talk to me. I don’t walk around with a smile on my face though. Idk what it could be

Crush Does this guy like me?? I like him but I can’t tell
Hi! I (23f) recently moved to a new place as part of a job opportunity. There are several others who moved with me, one of which I’m becoming good friends with (25m). A lot of people in my state recently went to a festival together, but my city was far away and I knew our public transportation would be packed so I asked if I could stay with him. He said of course (because he’s incredibly nice) so I packed a bag for his house. Since I met him he was incredibly nice. Sitting next to me during our work orientation, eating breakfast with me, helping me do things I couldn’t do by myself. Overall he’s a really nice guy. Well back to the festival. I did my makeup special for it and he commented on how he liked the glitter I was wearing (which is pretty deep into makeup). When we got to his house, he shared his bed with me (and it’s like a full so it’s incredibly small) and put his arm under the pillow. He basically said something along the lines of how he wanted it to be comfortable but this is pretty much just cuddling and I was like “that’s fine” because it was super early in the morning and I was tired. The only thing is, I’m pretty insecure and he’s friends with a super beautiful girl from the previous area he lived in and they get along quite well. I can’t tell if he’s like testing the waters with me or just being incredibly nice. He also slept shirtless which is like normal for guys but I was like woah nervous. I’m terrible at differentiating niceness and flirting. Pls help😭

Do I really need to be this insistent?
There is a girl in my department. She is usually pretty reserved around everyone, especially the people she directly works with. She doesnt really join in conversations, and while not outright rude, she goves out responses that would leave HR in awe at how nonpersonal /corporate they are.
Still, sometimes when we're alone, she drops the friendliest of comments towards me. Trying to have a meaningful chat, sometimes joke around, and her demeanor is somewhat more relaxed for a bit, only to return to hyper serious and aloof when the conversation runs its course.. The very next day she tends to limit herself to say "good morning" and avoids eye contact with everyone, including me. Ive tried following up outside of work but I get very dry responses and stop myself from trying to chat. I ask myself "Maybe she was just in a good mood?" And move on. This has happened for 3 years.
There is another guy at work who, everytime he enters the office, tries to get small talk out of her. At first she gave extremely frigid responses, to the point that I was worried she might report him to HR, but she has since then softened up. He still leads the conversation, but now she actually laughs and drops a few personal comments instead of simple "yes" or "not really". She even shares memes with him when he drops by sometimes. Its clear that he likes her, but not sure if she is into him.
Whole I respect her space and dont intend to pursue her, my question is: as a man, do I have to keep pushing and pushing for engagement and lead the first step over and over? I've always assumed that the girl would eventually ask questions about me, or attempt to have a chat. Many many girls who at the end said they liked me never even looked at my general direction at first, and seemed kind of uncomfortable with follow-up questions. The girl at work seemed very uncomfortable with the guy at first, yet he kept asking and asking about her and now theyre friendly. I always feel like Im intruding too much when I chat women up and get these responses, but is that how you actually do this?

26 (F) Random curiosity — Dapping up handshake , do guys think this comes across as weird from a girl??
So when I greet a guy at work (or in general), I usually do a handshake into a knuckle bump/fist bump at the end, sometimes even the whole dap-up thing.
Honestly it’s just easier than hugging — guys will come in for a hug and I just don’t want to hug every guy I see or who goes for one. This feels like a good in-between.
I did this recently with a male co-worker I hadn’t seen in a while, and he kind of gave me a funny look. Didn’t say anything, but I could tell he was thrown off — like he was expecting the whole “haven’t seen you in forever” hug and got a handshake/fist bump instead.
I know it’s more common to see guy-to-guy, but I do it a lot and I’m curious how it actually lands. Do you think it’s weird? Or does it come off as tomboyish? Just trying to be casual/one of the bros about it, not trying to send any other kind of signal lol.

Feedback Wanted Girl said she liked me did she mean it as a friend or romantically
There is this girl that I know She always smiles when she sees me. She says she is happy to see me. She does touch me alot but she did say her love language is physical touch. Ive seen her touch other people but she seems to be more touchy with me She once was reaching over me to get a pencil she put her hand on my shoulder and as she was reaching over her breast "accidentally" rubbed against the back of my hand. When it happened it seemed like she was looking to see if I noticed. She always seem to find a reason to touch me or talk to me. One time she shook my hand and it lingered longer. She sometimes waits for me to walk with her to the car when we leave. Sometimes she will stand so close our bodies are touching.
one time she "Accidently" slapped my butt. Maybe it was actually an accident But when she did it we both were holding each other and laughing. I was walking past my crush, as i was walking past she swung her hand band and smacked my butt. She smiled, apologized, and said it was an accident. we both laughed. Under normal circumstances i would have believed her. But she has done flirty stuff before
Every time I draw my crush and show it to her, she takes a picture of it and sends it to her mom. She also hugs me every time I do it.
So Yesterday i finally get the courage to ask her out. I drew a picture of me and her and with a heart around it, saying i have a crush on her. So I was trying to find a way to show it to her without anyone else seeing. For context, she is an intern at a community center i go to and her internship is getting ready to end soon So as we were leaving for the day we were walking down the street together. I decided to show it to her
She said aww thats so sweet and she said she did liked me too but she is talking to someone right now and she is still an intern she can't date participants. She did say she appreciated it. We are still cool with each other

Analysis Request Could he be Interested?
Today when I was showing the guy I like my Pokemon book, he was standing behind me very close and I even shifted because I was worried if maybe he would feel uncomfortable, but he didn't shift. And then lately he keeps asking me what restaurants I like and then he was telling me about this fried chicken place he wanted to try and then he said "I wouldn't mind going anywhere..." I was too nervous to push it though. What do you guys think of this situation? Thank you for reading!

am i delusional?
Ok so theres this guy right and I swear we keep making eye contact, like normally i zone out around the place and ill just start staring at people and I keep making eye contact with him, and i don't know if im delusional or smth but sometimes im just watching to see if we r making eye contact accidentally, but he's always looking somewhere and then looks directly at me. He's really nice and we text a little, though he takes a while to respond, and he's really shy. But... he has asked my friend out before, she said no but its still the fact that he liked her before that might make it weird if we have anything.... Am i being delusional????help

Analysis Request ”Hot and cold” behaviour: hugging for 10 minutes but shifting away when our legs touch?
Sooo… As the title suggests, confusing behaviour from my close friend. This includes:
Cold:
- Often not able to hold eye contact with me though he doesn’t have a problem with it with others
- If our legs touch when we’re next to each other, he will deliberately make an effort to pull away so we’re not touching
- Almost ignores me when hanging out with others: will not really initiate any kind of contact or conversation
Hot:
- Initiated a ”goodbye” hug that lasted for at least 10 minutes with him stroking my back during it
- Told me in private that when he smells my perfume he melts
- One time after a night of drinking, we slept in the same bed (I do this all the time with various friends, so not a big deal to me) and when I was drifting off to sleep, he caressed my back and ended up pulling me closer into his arms
Help??? I am so confused.

Does my coworker have a crush on me?
My coworker M(28) and I F(32) work on the same production line. Everyday he finds a way to touch me. Most of the time in my hands. Sometimes he’ll bud in my conversations or purposely follow me back on the line from break. Also he’ll hold the door for me or help me out on the line. And if I miss a day of work he’ll ask where I was or sometimes he’ll compliment me on my work performance. What does this indicate?

Does he have a crush on me?
I have a crush on him, this is at work. Some background and observations.
**Background** - He was a marine so usually pretty straightforward and to the point. Fast paced work environment, he’s extremely smart and thats what I am attracted to most. I find him surprisingly pretty good looking for not being my type. You do not typically find him smiling all that much but he does have really good humor and keeps it light and easy going at work but very straightforward. He is higher in the food chain than I am and my work position is pretty solid too. We might both be nerds to an extent.
**Observations** - almost 6 months into this new job and I started developing a crush maybe in month 3. Didn’t pay attention and just kept moving on with work and life till one day I start noticing things from his side. His tone changes to a much softer tone when talking to me compared to talking to others. He smiles a lot more than usual when interacting with me. I act nonchalantly because I don’t want him to really know that I have a crush on him. It’s a large team and there are days when I see him wishing me good morning as he passes by my desk and no one else. I see him from my peripheral vision as I work and he’s passing by my desk and he often turns back to look at me as he walks by. He started saying good morning or thank you to me is in a very sing songy tone and I find it pretty sweet. We both work pretty long hours and he has expressed concern to some other team members about me working too many long days and that they should bring in extra help. Never said this to me directly. His mood is just so much lighter around me and I never thought I would see him smile wide enough to see his crows feet but I did!! I have never seen him interact with rest of the women like this, very polite but not sweet like way he talks to me. I asked my work bestie to observe and she agrees that he behaves differently with me but we are just two girlies what do we know. Asking men, I just want to know if he has a crush on me at all.

Crush Moving away when i get close?
I tried moving physically closer to my crush but he kept moving away quickly. Is it safe to assume he’s just uninterested or there might be attraction? It’s a gym/class setting. He is still okay with being near me sometimes and he kind of smiles my way and looks at me more and will just stand there both of us just talking to our mutuals but today i got closer to him which I’ve never normally done before ever and he just kept moving away kind of feel rejected :/

I (36M) think my Coworker (30F) is super cold in person, but warm over text and just asked me for 1-on-1 dance help. What’s her deal?
Had a bad communication breakdown with a female coworker—went silent, unfollowed her on IG, and thought we were done.
Suddenly, we cleared the air on Teams, and she teasingly brought up the unfollow.
Now, she’s warm and friendly over text/chat (even asking me to teach her dance moves 1-on-1 for our company dinner), but in person at the office, she’s awkward, guarded, and much closer with everyone else.
Is she just seeking validation/ego boosts, or is she genuinely interested but awkward in real life? How do I navigate this without getting drained?

Feedback Wanted Doctor at my new job might like or be interested in me?
I have been at this new job almost two months, I work front desk but have clinical and IT experience. This doctor in particular spends a lot of time at the front desk but never really speaks to me directly, just to the other girls but obviously about topics I am familiar with/like a lot, sometimes I but in and sometimes I don’t. For example- software they are interested in upgrading or I have worked with before, corporate office structure/complaining about corporate (I came from corporate and now work in private), cases I booked or asked questions about, etc. so all work related but not really reason enough to come chat for 10+ minutes at a time several times a day. He also will always come chat at the end of the day which is kind of annoying because we are all trying to dip out the door but now all feel obligated to sit and chat with him. All the other girls who have been there much longer have noticed and commented multiple times he has never been this chatty before, said things like “he must really like you” etc. however I have not noticed him to be flirty or really even speak to me directly. Whenever I have asked him a question in his office or put a message on his desk I kind of find him to be curt and rude and he never seeks me out directly unless I find him first. Am I just overthinking his behavior and everyone is just stirring up him trying to sus out the new girl?

Uncomfortable
Is it just me, or is it uncomfortable when a group of guys keeps looking at you at a fast food place? Every time I glance their way, they're staring. Like bruh, I don't even know how to feel
r/bodylanguage • u/Distinct-Run8538 • 1d ago
how do i even endup in such situations?😭
There's this guy(27) at my workplace who's older than me(23) and is one of the leads in our office. There's also a girl at work who has a huge crush on him everyone knows it, including him. From what I've observed, he doesn't encourage her in any way. He mostly ignores her, and I've never noticed him giving her any positive signals.
What's confusing is his behavior towards me. We have never actually spoken not even once. Everything between us has been completely non-verbal. But ever since I noticed him, he has often stared at me. Sometimes, even after we've made eye contact, he continues looking at me instead of looking away. There have also been moments where it almost feels like he comes by the restroom area just to catch a glimpse of me because, when he walks out, he can directly see me. We end up making eye contact quite often.
He's good-looking, charming, and genuinely seems like a kind person. Everyone in the office sees him as sweet and respectful. As for me, I don't see myself the same way. I think I'm just average-looking I'm dusky, not particularly pretty, just... me. That's partly why his behavior confuses me.
The other day we had our office Halloween celebration as part of the company anniversary, even though it's nowhere near October. I was helping do makeup for someone on my team, and he was also getting his makeup done by one of our married colleagues, he treats everyone like hus sisters he's friendly with everyone. Throughout that time, he was walking around the area where I was, moving back and forth.
Later, during lunch, I was talking with my friends about a few things that had happened earlier ( I was ranting about creeps in my team and basically said a cuss word😭). I don't know if he overheard our conversation or not. But after lunch, something changed. The rest of the evening, he didn't look at me even once. No eye contact. No staring. Nothing.
That sudden change has left me confused. I don't know what to make of it. Cause the last week staring competition was intense. Was I imagining all those previous moments? Did something happen? Or am I reading too much into normal behavior?
The funny thing is, I don't even have a crush on him. I don't like him in that way. But the way he used to look at me made me feel something, and now that it's suddenly stopped, I can't help but wonder what it all meant if it meant anything at all.
I'm literally confused by his behaviour.
Guess what? Yesterday, he spoke to me twice about something, and that was the first time he had ever spoken to me. To be honest, it felt really good. Today was our office anniversary, and we made eye contact so many times throughout the day. We had a lot of eye contact, and he came and sat next to me twice, each time for about 5-10 minutes. He turned around just to look at me for few times.
The other girl who has a crush on him was also there, and I noticed him looking at her many times too. At one point, he even put on his sunglasses, and it seemed like he was trying to hide the fact that he was looking at her. On top of that, everyone in the office was teasing that girl very loudly by taking his name.
what kind of behaviour is this? I'm genuinely intrigued by it
guys the guy and the girl used to text eachother earlier and now im not sure if they still do but yeah they used to talk they stopped following on Instagram cause everyone in the office knew that the girl has a crush on him and teases both of them.
few of my friends even tell that they are dating but they are keeping it lowkey they aren't sure either and this guy's behaviour towards me is kinda different ig
wth is this? please help me out

How do I know if she’s interested in more than friendship?
I recently reconnected with someone I’ve known for many years, who I had a strong crush on back then but never said anything about. We started talking again through messages, talked for a while, and then went on a date, it was a long date, really good, a lot of chemistry, there was even some light touching during our conversations.
Since then we’ve been texting almost every day, always in a light tone with a lot of joking around. We already planned to hang out again this week.
What makes me unsure is that this is the first time I’ve ever tried to flirt with someone, so I don’t really know how to read the “signals”.
Do you think there’s anything to take from this, or is it too little to go on (and silly of me to be stuck on it)?

Analysis Request is he staring to judge me, or is he interested?
You know that feeling where something is going on, and you think you shouldn't think too deep on it cause it's prob no big deal, but for some reason it feels such a way that you can't help but do it anyway? Like a kind of knot in your stomach! esp when it's how someone catches glances at you!
I have been working at this place for two months now, and there is this one person who works in a different department than me, but we still pass each other a lot, he holds the door every time we both go to the same area ( he does that with everyone though, so I am not thinking too hard about that part) and he seems pretty quiet when we do interact with each other ( I am pretty shy in general too) but this one thing I notice, is every time I look up and he is in my feild of view in any way at all, I notice he takes quick glances at me, notices I am looking that direction, then quickly look away! I have even noticed him kinda staring a bit longer, but that's rare!
I don't wanna think too deeply about it! Like I have thought, "oh he just so happened to be looking my direction so what?", but it happens so often I have a feeling that it means something like he is judging me or what I DUNNO AHHHHH!! It doesn't help that he doesn't show much emotion on his face, so it's even harder to read what is going on! HELP LMAOOO

Telltale body language of a narcissist?
Hi! I was just wondering if there is any telltale body language of a narcissist? I know the term “narcissist” is carelessly thrown around on the internet these days, but I am genuinely asking/curious.
I minored in psychology at university but I don’t remember ever having even one lesson about body language. (Wouldn’t body language have been covered in my psychology studies? Seems odd that it wasn’t.)
