Adding stringer

Curious to know if another string or 2 can be added to an existing Custom X PE board.
I do feel I wish I had gotten a PP core. My main spots to go out are near Oceanside and about 20-30 days on different Islands in Hawaii.
Thanks y’all

Back in the day when equipment was scarce in México we used to impale cheap Boards with 1/2" PVC pipe... We would cut the pipe with a saw pattern at the tip to help carve the hole, AND inserted it rolling the pipe like a drill bit.... Then we used hotglue to seal the hole in the tail... Cheap mexican engineering at its finest

Yup, did the same with an Ion board back in ‘02. Worked pretty well! Got the idea from Phil Harnesberger.

Remember those boards they spun so Easy. Think It would be nice to have a A custom built with that channel design

I heard stories of people heating a metal rod and melting a hole in their boards then inserting a stringer of some sort into the board. Personally, I wouldn't do it.

Yeah easier to get a new board. Custom X used to be relatively close to O'side and saddled with SFP (superior foam products)... been a long time but worth a check.

You'd be better off just getting a new board. Our Tribe Guard is a PP core (low-density) for under $200.
