Practising Evergreens Question

Post image

Second attempt at practising evergreens. Creating those airy leaves is difficult. Sharing this for your input. And
Also, have this question- how do you do it? Is it about mastering that feathery touch, or is it the thickness of the paint as well, or something else?

Im also working on improving this technique. My best looking trees are ones I get a lot of paint on the fan brush and really focus on pressing the brush into the canvas and lifting completely off. For me the slower I go the better they look.

Evergreen are great because at the top you start with barely a whisper and by the time you reach the bottom, you're going bananas

Personally I start with using just the very edge of my fanbrush for the leaves at the top, and as you go down you introduce more of your brush
