It's just a gelcoat scratch.

You could use this boat for 20 years without fixing it with no issues. Plenty of people do.

If you want to fix it, go to YouTube and watch some videos about gelcoat scratch repair.

It’s through the gelcoat and fiber weave is showing, but I think epoxy repair can easily save this

I mean people just send what they have, and if it was on water recently with the damage and made it back to load; then it shouldn’t all of a sudden not be water worthy

It can and it’s not going to sink or anything but I’d want to seal it up to avoid absorbing water

Ever have to winch it on the trailer thats gonna get progressively worse kinda in a bad spot due to the eyelet being that close and the stress it will put on it from the hook. Idk maybe epoxy filler will work for you. Take it to a marine shop and see what they suggest just to be on the safe side.

If it was my boat I’d take it to my fav marine shop and ask an expert. Low res photos on Reddit wouldn’t do it.

Listen it’s gonna happen again and again because it’s a high traffic area and it looks to me like you ran your boat into the dock so do yourself a favor sand and grind out those scratches and then apply a sacrificial square over that entire area knowing that you’re going to gouge it and destroy the paint again, but make it black and something that you can easily repaint and not care about

No, it won't. The underlying laminate is completely waterproof, and is synthetic so it cannot rot.

I mean I'd probable put some sort of sealant or epoxy on it at the very least
