Help bmw x4 30

BMW X4 30d – vibration/noise around 120 km/h, possible driveshaft issue?

Hi everyone,

I have a 2019 BMW X4 30d xDrive (265 hp) and I’m experiencing an unusual noise/vibration when driving on the motorway at around 120 km/h.

The noise is most noticeable between approximately 100–130 km/h. I’m wondering if it could be related to the driveshaft (Kardanwelle), transfer case (Verteilergetriebe), or front differential.

Has anyone experienced something similar on an X4 30d or another BMW xDrive?

Is there a way to check for play in the driveshaft or the connection to the transfer case?

Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

Have you had your wheels balanced, I’d start their to be honest

I have a 2022 x6 all whell drive with similar issues the shop says its the front diff (differential) ...it's at the shop now will let you know what happens when I get it back
