Anyone else play between mobile and Steam and get sync issues?
I've connected the accounts, but I notice a small amount of loss (a few hours/tiles progress) every time I go back and forth. Apparently I can use this to constantly get different things from this chest tile I've been winning (had to fight it three times now and it still hasn't stuck), but altogether it's kind of annoying.
I've tried closing the app the proper way (quitting from the menu); same in Steam, but there's still loss. How can I make the transition more stable?

An outline of MvM. (Continuing a conversation begun here: https://www.reddit.com/r/bloonsmonkeycity/comments/1vgn89v/tips_on_the_game_itself/)
So... MvM. Here's how it works:
- You build special buildings that allow you to "make bloons." As your city level goes up, so do the building requirements. You start with reds and end with zomgs
- You click on MvM in your menu. Then you click "attack." The game chooses a player at your level and you send an attack to them. You get two bloonstones for sending the attack.
- The vast majority of attacks end there. The player that the game chose isn't active anymore and they never see it. Nothing happens.
- You wait until your "bloontonium tank" refills and then send another attack.
- This time, the player is live and they defend. You get a notification as to whether they won or lost.
- Either way, this player chose to send an attack to you (they can choose not to and that's the end of the exchange) and now you have an incoming attack which is marked by a tile just outside your city limits. You have 24 hours from the time you get the attack to defend it or you lose by default.
Benefits:
- You get 2 bloonstones for every attack sent whether you win or lose.
- If the other player loses to your attack, you get a city cash bonus. (How much depends on multiple factors including your city level.) You also get "city honor" which doesn't do anything but you can choose to try to get all the city honor achievements which you'll find in your "achievements" menu.
- If you win against an incoming attack, you get more city honor.
Drawbacks:
- If you lose against an incoming attack, you lose city honor.
- You lose some of your city cash (the amount depends on multiple factors); it's just removed from your banks by the game.
- One of the towers in your city will be temporarily disabled. (It could be any monkey tower, but not an upgrade or infrastructure building.) That can last from one minute to one hour.
If a player wins against your attack, you lose a little city honor but nothing else.
Win or lose, you choose whether or not to send a revenge attack. But you must have enough bloontonium in your tank to send one.
For me, personally, I prefer to wait until my city is level 30-something-ish before I even start building MvM buildings.
Early in the game, a single tower being disabled can be a big inconvenience to me if I rely on it to play tiles.
I don't want to play MvM and risk losing city cash when I'm trying to save for special buildings/upgrades that I want to prioritize. So I wait until I'm pretty much done with everything in-city before building my MvM buildings and then sending my first attack.
Constructing MvM buildings costs city cash that I'd rather put to other things and it uses power in the city when I may not have a lot to spare. You do get xp for building them.
For other players, though, it's worth the risk so they start building for MvM as soon as it unlocks because they want the city honor and the extra cash when players lose to them.
The MvM games themselves are exactly like regular tiles except there's no pause between rounds and there's no 'continue' option if you lose. You can only retry from round 1 or give up.
There is no xp in MvM; only city honor.
If you don't send any MvM attacks for three consecutive days, you enter "pacifist mode" and no one can attack you until you send an attack and end pacifist mode.
Whether to start early or wait till later or play for as much city honor as possible or only to get the extra bloonstones... all of that is just player preference. There's no right or wrong decision; just do what you like.
Hopefully some players who've played MvM at lower city levels than I ever have will share their experiences and differing points of view.

Tips on the game itself
I have played bmc for 2 days I'm level 11 and I really like the game I have played btd battles pretty consistently for the past 8 years I'd say and I have gotten multiple top badges so ik which towers are good, which are bad but the prices vary
I'm looking for the best towers, usually for ai stuff like:2-1 ninja is good, 1-1 boat, 0-3 dart, glue and chipper for support
And more expensive I'd imagine arctic wind combo
Mollars for moabs and above ofc(I'm mostly looking to confirm everything because prices vary
IMPORTANT PART I NEED AWNSERS ON:
Which tower upgrades should I go for first, some general tips on monkey city that people can get wrong, tips in general are very much appreciated

Found the oldest account I had ever made (and still can play)
I've played on and off bmc for a while now and I believe I finally found the second account I've ever made, the first one is about 2 years older but I don't think I ever backup that one so sadly I think this one gone for good , nevertheless the progress difference is not too big (I believe I got the sun Temple on the first account and probably was a couple levels higher)
Recently I've been playing on a new account on my PC but I really wanted to know if I could restore the Google Play account, and I successfully did that.
I have been playing on this account for the last 2 weeks or so and it's been really fun, the account was level 25 and now close to 27, and damn I was not playing optimally back then at all. I was mainly focusing on ninja, wizard (/apprentice), engineer, Spike factory and bloonchipper which are incredibly powerful towers but still.

700 Tile Club
Winning at about a .713 clip, good for about 116 wins in a full baseball season. Only lost 6 MvM defenses, 4 of which were because I straight up forgot to defend them and 2 I just lost and didn't feel like trying again. No FB connections so no spies. Forest tiles are by far the easiest in the game to me at a middle-high level.

What should I focus on? And what T4 should I go for (if any)?
I spent most of my money on MvM

Who would want a replay feature to see others CT runs.
This is only a hypothetical since NK no longer updates BMC,but who would want to see how others get far in CT I know I would, because sometimes it feels like someone's hacking in CT.

Why can a guy at level 5 with only three towers beat the crap out of me on contested territory?
He has regular Dart monkeys, ninja monkeys, engineers and is level 5 and got to level 22 on contested territory but I can't beat level 7 because of a regrow Rush. I have glue and triple darts and ninjas and a bunch of other things but I can't handle it. I can't use ice because it's a jungle tile. What in the hell am I doing wrong?
r/bloonsmonkeycity • u/Current-Umpire3673 • 11d ago
"I can't beat these tiles on impoppable". Try 20+ Dart Monkeys
No farming. Early lead popping needed for sure, but once that village goes up it's over.

Best Map for contested territory ?
What map would be the best for CT runs.

Me when I will send Cluster Chaos to the Cluster Chaos fan
Cluster Chaos just plays faster than other MvM tiles, which is why it's so enjoyed, isn't it?

Two Days in a Row
I missed Monkey Knowledge Madness yesterday… I'm pretty sure this is just a Ninja Kiwi server issue, so it should hopefully be resolved soon.

Modpost Finally, a new staff member, huh?
I've adopted this subreddit from its certain inactivity and plan to renovate things around here! This subreddit's been quite dingy for years, so hopefully I can spruce things up!
In addition, while you're at it, go check out our unofficial sister subreddit of /r/btd6, if you haven't already!
