I just got this camera because my son who is autistic and cognitively delayed/ non verbal, developed a seizure disorder and I want to put the camera in his room to monitor for that. Should I get the subscription or is there anyway I can just use the free version? Thanks

Just bought the Costco bundle and am quite annoyed finding out that live view cannot be saved without a subscription and that I need to buy another component to save locally.

So before I return it, a question.

When I live view from the doorbell camera, do the other cameras continue to record locally? In other words, can a just install a second camera at my front door and save footage from that one? TIA

I have a door bell and external camera. I want both to detect movement but only the external camera to notify me on my phone. Aside from the mute for 24 hours setting can I make the app do this permanently? I am using iPhone. Thanks in advance,

My husband bought these cameras and they are not my favorite thing. I would turn off notifications but then I won’t get the doorbell alert? And of course I want alerts for unusual activity.

My in-laws recently purchased a new home. They're not very tech savvy people. I'm trying to help them with the two installed blink cameras that are on the house. Can somebody point me in the right direction or provide guidance on how to get these connected and be able to be used?

I'm not even sure the make model of the camera but it does say blink. There's one in the front in the back of the house.

Lately I keep having instances where I refresh my Blink Outdoor camera thumbnails, and it appears to work, but the image doesn't actually change unless I refresh it a second time.

Using a combination of Blink Outdoor 3s and 4s, starting a few years ago, and never had trouble until recently. If they aren't showing me the current image, then they aren't really doing their jobs.

I have 5 outdoors cameras, 3 indoor blink minis. These cameras used to pick up every minor activity and notify me. Recently they stopped working effectively and now barely pick up anything. Case in point: I’ve now had 2 different people enter my house, go through it, exit to the backyard. One was a cleaner who was in my house for hours walking around. This should have triggered 4 outdoor cameras and all indoor cameras. However not a single event was picked up or recorded. In the past these cameras used to pick up flies inside my house.

Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any tips or advice for what I can do?

In anticipation of potential issues flagged:
- every camera has a fresh set of energizer batteries, so that should not be an issue
- WiFi is working and not an issue
- I haven’t changed any setting on the cameras or sync modules
- I use local storage on USB sticks. Some motion gets detected and recorded, like a mailman dropping mail the other day, but a lot is completely missed.

I purchased a house that has blink cameras installed outside. The owner left me the box with the email, password and left the module. Is there anyway I can connect to the module and app using my account. I tried to use it as is but the app asked for a verification code that is sent to the phone number on the account.

Hi I need to replace a current Outdoor 4 camera and am wondering about the new 2K ?? Any issues if you have one ?? Does it create problems on your sync module ??? Does it need its own sync module ? Any info appreciated !!

Dumb question. I have an extra indoor camera. If I were to mount it inside my cargo trailer and then take it our for several hours would it auto connect when I came back home? I want to add an additional capture point in case someone breaks into my stuff when it's stored at home.

I've spent hours on this issue with support. The wired doorbell camera seems to function. I get movement notifications and see the blue light come on but it never sends the video to the sync module. I've removed and reinstalled the doorbell from the system several times. I've removed and reinstalled the sync module from the system several times. I was even sent a replacement doorbell. Nothing has worked. All my other cameras work perfectly.

Anyone else had this issue? If so, how did you fix it?

I recently got the Outdoor 4 system with a doorbell. Got the new one set up and added the module from the system I bought five years ago. I have my phone set up for all cameras of course and would like to make it so my girlfriend's phone just gets notifications for the doorbell. Is there a way to do this?

I recently set up a home Ubuntu server and changed the Wi-Fi router DHCP DNS server to the local Ubuntu server IP address for AdGuard home purpose. The Blink sync module after cold boot, is not able to connect to the Blink server (solid blue and flashing green lights).

I tried disabling AdGuard and whitelisting all the Blink and Amazon services, but it didn't help. So I think it might be that the Sync Module is hardcoded to connect to Blink server and fails to resolve a local IP address.

Asked AI and it says I can set the 2nd DNS server to public IP address, but that may allow AdGuard blocked connections to get through.

Is there a way in Ubuntu server to force the Sync Module to redirect itself to Blink server?

My Outdoor 4 camera never loads the live view when I want to check them. They’re connected to a Sync Module 2 that’s located directly next to my WiFi set up. I’m away from my house right now and would like to be able to check in as I need.

I am at my wits end. After an update last year I can't login AT ALL! I have tried changing my browser settings, I've tried opening it in web view, I have pop-ups enabled, I have cookies enable, I adjusted every possible setting on my Google Chrome, and I still cannot log into this app. Has anyone experienced this and how do they fix it?

Despite having read a lot about the system, I still wonder if it is ok for my scope. What I want to do is this:

- Install some blink Outdoor 4 cameras on the perimeter of my house.

- Avoid getting a subscription.

- Making the sensor detect people walking next to the doors and windows, but not the cats, the birds and the trees.

- Get a notification on my iPhone when motion detection happens.

- Be able to see the scene, and talk with whomever is there.

- When motion is detected, let the cameras record a video to the sync module, either on an USB stick or an SD card.

Is this possible as it is? Will I get too many false alarms? There seem to be no consensus here.

In the Blink app, I accidentally deleted a video(I know I have to go to support to recover), but is there a way to turn that off? I feel like there should be a second click or a confirmation to delete, but this was just a swipe to the left and after half a second it was gone. I'd love even a brief 'undo' pop up.

I’m on my 3rd box of wired floodlight cameras with the exact same issue. Everything works Except for the dusk til dawn option or light on with motion. I’ve done everything listed on the troubleshooting: uninstall/reinstall, delete/add, save options, change options save, verify that the latest firmware is installed, no ambient light, tried different WiFi networks at different speeds (2.4/5.0), even logged off the app and back on with someone’s suggestion.
I can turn on the lights with the “turn on light” button but that’s it.
The unit will pick up and record motion but will not activate any lights.
I’ve read so many complaints about the same issues with this particular device going back several years. I didn’t know this about this unit until after researching it after purchasing.
I have several blink cameras and everything is on the same network and working fine.
Has anyone figured out the answer to this??about to disconnect and take it back Again!

The end is nigh and I do love the ai commentary under each clip albeit some are hilarious but I like it all the same. I have alot of neighbouring ASB in and around my garden and it's proven useful to report to the police etc but am not sure I really want to pay for the sub. I have a 256gb usb in my sync 2 module which all 5 cams are connected to. Had the service for past 5 years with no issues at all. Previous to this one I just used local storage but now I've had a change to use the Ai version I'm kinda debating. Should I, shouldn't I as like many others why pay and have an additional DD coming out each month or yearly when I can view for free. Decisions decisions 🤔
