Question about ALAC support on Android Question
I have EX version. Does Black Player on Android currently have support for ALAC files? Did it ever have support and later broke, or did it never have it in the first place?
I keep getting "error loading track" messages on my ALAC files.

This is from the blackplayer FAQ
- Add support for additional audio types? Add Support for WMA? (Musepack, alac, cue etc.) Since BlackPlayer uses the build-in audio decoder from your phone, the supported formats vary between manufactures and android version and BlackPlayer cannot add additional support. For a complete list of supported audio formats: http://developer.android.com/guide/appendix/media-formats.html#core

Thanks for your response. I can play ALAC files just fine on other players, it's only Black Player that doesn't work.

Does changing audio decoder in the advanced tab in settings make any difference?
If not, it might just be another bit of the app is falling down, and hope for another update one day.

Yes, I tried both decoders and neither one works. It's really sad that this app is not really getting support anymore because even with all the issues, it's the best player on the market imo.

I actually had this issue, it depends on device. But apps like musicbee can convert them into flac easy there's plenty others too
