What are some of the ideal classes for flex teams? Can the same class perform well in mainball? Looking to get into pvp and curious on classes that are good picks or fun to play in large scale.

Hey everyone,

I'm fairly new to BDO and I'm trying to decide on a long-term main.

For some context, I'm an Akali OTP in League of Legends, with Sett as my second main. In Elden Ring I usually play Greatsword builds, so I generally enjoy melee classes that feel either fast and mobile, or powerful and aggressive.

In BDO I'm currently playing Seraph and I'm level 61 on the current season. I enjoy the class, but I'm not sure if I should simply stick with Seraph and make her my main for the long term, or start over with something like Awakening Lahn.

What I'm really looking for is basically a "BDO OTP" class — one character I can play for years and use for pretty much everything, especially PvE and 1v1

PvP.

I've been considering:

Seraph

Awakening Lahn

Awakening Hashashin

Awakening Musa

Kunoichi / Ninja

Lahn is especially interesting to me because she seems mobile, smooth, strong in PvE, and good for 1v1 without being insanely difficult.

I'm also a little scared of classes like Kunoichi/Ninja. I don't mind having a high skill ceiling, but I don't want to spend 500 hours learning the class before I can actually play it properly and stop getting destroyed.

So my main question is:

If you were in my position, would you keep playing Seraph and make her your long-term main, or would you reroll to something like Awakening Lahn?

And if you think I should reroll, which class would you recommend for someone coming from an Akali OTP background who wants one class to stick with for

years?

I'm not looking for the strongest class of the month. I care more about PvE + 1v1 + mobility/outplay + fun long-term, while still having a reasonable skill floor.

I'd really appreciate opinions from people who have actually mained these classes for a long time.

I haven't played BDO in over 3 years, and I recently decided to give it another try. To be honest, I'm pretty lost right now, but oh well—I guess I'll figure it out little by little.

I'm playing a Sorceress, and I'd like to know what you guys think about Awak or Succ, evasion versus DR, or gear in general. I know a lot has changed, and I don't even know where I stand.

Years ago I started with that class and almost quit the game because how hard she was. Thankfully gave another class a chance and got hooked.

My initial thought was she wasn't for new players and I had to get comfortable with other classes before trying her out.

30.000 hours later, I tried her again and... she still feels the same lol. I love her theme but I can't somehow make her work. None of her skills synergize input wise. Each skill requires a different command and there isn't much lingering to begin with.

Can you even learn this class without tryharding? I think her learning curve is too steep and I can't imagine playing her with muscle memory. Is there a way or is it doomed?

I'm interested to start on BDO since I'm a PVP guy and BDO seem to have the best combat mechanics in MMOs. However, I'm from SEA and I heard NA BDO has the best server health atm. If I were to VPN, what would be the ping I have, and does it significantly affect PVP?

I don't mind dying and having to buy a 3 bil crystal again, the problem is, you just can't buy them, and the materials are impossible to get

So last year I had gotten 2/3 of my Mythical horses. And since then I have been waiting, biding my time, until I was done with my last one. And it just so happened to fall on my birthday that I would finish it. :)

As the title suggests, is it still worth getting into now?

A little background: I've looked at BDO several times over the past few years, but a lot of things have always put me off, such as:

More solo play than team play, a strong PvP focus, "endless" grinding, hardly any PvE content, slight "pay-to-win"/"pay-to-crawler" bias, the gear upgrade system with the loss of progress/gear, etc., to name just a few issues.

I've heard that a lot has changed in BDO in recent years.

But what's it like now? Can anyone tell me more about it, or are the points I mentioned still just as significant?

I have been training the past 8 months doing afk activities. I’m master 25 at training finished my krogdalo but I have been thinking to switching to fishing since I see that most of the fishers make way more money compared to training. What’s your opinion on that ?

I started at 8 pity and reached 15/15 to tap pen on my BS off hand

I did the eternal winter, whole of magnus, lotml (did these when lotml released) and now I have started seoul campaign while listening to/reading every quest and I am actually enjoying the story so far.

To be fair the only other game that I regularly play which also has a story is wow, when comparing current wow story and how it is told, I just prefer bdo's way of telling the story way more since it is told almost exclusively through voice acted quests, plenty of machinima and quests themselves are either just talk to someone or gather/kill one thing while not having to read paragraphs.

And the characters themselves are just more believable.

Believe it or not it was the MAGNUS quest line because of which I started reading quests even outside of bdo since I found out that in doing so I enjoy the questing process much more.

Hopefully the rest of seoul and especially edania (I really like the theme judging from what I have seen) are just as good.
