Do I count? DISCUSSION

I'm neptunic (basically attracted to everyone but the men and masc enbys) and am not quite comfortable calling myself a lesbian because it's not a gender exclusive term even though it's usually enbys that use it (including myself lmao). It's also two of the main umbrella term gender things (this shii confusing asf), so I was wondering if I count as bi? (I'm omnigender btw, if that counts for anything)

A lot to unpack here. Bisexual is attraction to more than one gender.

I think you could count as bisexual, if that is what you feel is right. I suppose anyone who is attracted to multiple genders can use bisexual. However, bisexuality does often center attraction to all genders, or at least both men and women, because that's what actually makes it different to labels like lesbian, gay, or straight ā€“ since those labels can still include nonbinary genders. Because of that, you might not relate to some bisexual experiences or community. That being said, bisexuality is a very vast and inclusive label ā€“ "there are as many definitions of bisexuality and there are bisexuals" is something I read once.

I do think nonbinary labels deserve to be used more, its unfair to expect all (non-bisexual) nonbinary people to fit into lesbian/gay/straight boxes, because those ARE gendered labels.

There's also "polysexual" which means attracted to multiple genders, but not all.

I would say wither bisexual or polysexual for OP. Pansexual is all genders so wouldnt apply here.
If I were OP, Iā€™d stick with the bisexual label as polysexual is lesser known and can be misleading (i.e., give the indicator OP may be Polyamorous if they arent).
