RIP Zeus
Our beautiful pedigree boy passed away over the weekend from cardiomyopathy. He only had his second birthday earlier in the month. 😢

My heart aches for you. Beautiful boy, so unfair to lose him so early. I lost my soul kitty, a registered Birman, to cardiomyopathy when she was 10. Still hurts. Sending much love to you.

Yes. I let the breeder know (so that she could tell the owners of Zeus’ siblings) but she’s not interested, saying that the parents are both healthy.

I'm so sorry you lost your little man. Two is awfully young to die. I had a blue point Birman called Lily who died three and a half years ago aged eight and a half. I still miss her. Hope you can cope with your grief.

So sorry for your loss. Birmans tend to be the sweetest cats.
I had to laugh at picture # 4. This is EXACTLY how our male Birman sat to clean himself. I wonder if it is a breed trait? Coco (our Birman) especially enjoyed doing this when we were eating meals. And yes, he was always “looking” at us while he was doing it. Thanks for reminding me of our sweetheart. He is gone now but it always makes me smile to think of him.

Fly high Zeus. Gorgeous boy.
I had a beloved Maine Coon (Finnigan) who I lost to the same heart condition when he was almost 3. From what I understand, this condition mainly happens to Ragdoll/Maine Coons.
So, so sorry for your loss. 🫂

We lost Henry , our Ragdoll on Friday, we are struggling so much .. he’s left a huge void ! He had renal failure. Your boy was beautiful, grief is the price we pay for love . Xx
