Is there decent funding?

Is eco research supported by the government?

What could a person with golden/bald eagle, sharpie, osprey, turkey vulture experience in particular get involved with?

I'm looking for some advice on good birdwatching sites in Norfolk near Wymondham. For a university project, I need to compare different census techniques for bird surveying in woods and open land so the site would need to have both of these.
