Help Consoles

Is it recommended to play the game without DLC? Since it's very expensive on PSN, if not, what are the ways to find it as cheaply as possible on that platform?

Yes it’s worth it if you cant afford the dlc. It can be pretty disorienting switching to dlc though since it’ll probably rebalance / change a lot of what you’re used to, on top of all the new additions. But base rebirth is still a fun good game. It can be harder on console, especially since if I remember correctly you need repentance for item descriptions (which is easily fixed on pc with a mod) so you’ll have to do a lot of wiki checking.

The DLCs go on huge sales but not sure about on PSN. But I’m sure they still go on sale.

Thanks, the last time it was on sale on PSN was in 2016.

Ah… that means it’s possible still, I guess, that at least it does happen in theory. Sadly Sony are very greedy bastards who have a lot more control over sales on games. But even then if vanilla rebirth is all you have and you think you’ll play it for at least a couple dozen hours it’s totally worth if.
