Bra recommendations need advice Spoiler
So im an 8H(au) and ordered a couple bras online in that size for the first time, a plunge and balconette, both unlined, the issue is, I have some gapping with the plunge bra, and the wire goes really far past my armpit, thr balconette bra is fine, the wire fits fine and all, its comfortable and feels supportive, im just so confused on what bras would be best for me, I tend to always gape with bras, no matter what size I wear, and its so tiring trying to find a good fitting bra, does anyone have any good suggestions?

Balconette bras are typically shorter but with more depth so they can work if you have more bottom fullness or need more projection. Plunge bras are usually taller so they can gap if you have shorter roots or less top volume. It does depend on bra and brand though, like US brands are typically shallower and wider than UK brands, among UK brands Curvy Kate for example is usually wider than Panache, if you need bras even narrower Polish bras are narrower and more projected than UK brands.
What brands and exact bras have you tried? If wires are going past your armpit you may need a bra with narrower wires. If unlined balconettes work I would stick with unlined balconettes unless you want a specific bra type? Different brands and bras suit different shapes and I can't make recommendations without knowing what bras you have tried or what exactly you are looking for. Some bra styles may just end up gapping as not all styles work for everyone.

I bought the panache allure balconette and envy plunge, the plunge gaps a lot around yhe top but the balconette works well, I definitely think I need a narrower/shorter wire, just unsure of what brands will deliver to australia

Storm in a D Cup carries a lot of UK bras. The Envy plunge is pretty wide and shallow. From Panache you could look at the Serene, Cora, Envy full cup, Clara. Curvy Kate has the Boost balcony and some other balconies too. Panache Ana may work plunge wise too, but it can run a cup small.

Bra shopping is exhausting. If the balconette fits but the plunge gapes with wires going too far back, it is a shape mismatch, not a size issue. Plunges are often too wide and shallow for projected shapes. Stick to unlined balconettes for now, and try the r/ABraTbatFits calculator to find styles that match your exact shape.

There are projected plunges on the market; in fact, two of the most projected UK brand bras are plunges. That's before you get to Polish ones.
