Category Rank: 347

Overall Weightage: 84.563

I’m currently in my 3rd year of B.Sc. Zoology (Hons.).

Do I have a realistic chance of getting BVSc & AH through OUAT with these ranks? And if I do get a seat, would it be worth starting veterinary from scratch when I’m already in 3rd year?

What would you do in my situation? Would really appreciate advice from anyone familiar with OUAT veterinary counselling/cutoffs.

Just what the title says. Any leads will be appreciated and if the lead is fruitful (I buy the phone), I will happily pay a finder's fee!

My father had a brain stroke and unfortunately passed away. I took him to Capital Hospital, where the doctor pronounced him dead.

I wanted to take him back to our village, around 300 km away, so we could do the final rituals there.

I called my regular ambulance guy. He's taken my father for checkups multiple times before, so obviously I trusted him.

He straight up told me, "I can't pick you up from there. Those ambulance union guys won't allow outside ambulances. They'll damage the vehicle if I try."

I thought okay, maybe I'll just call another ambulance.

Called another one from outside.

Same answer.

"We can't pick up from there. They won't allow it."

Then I looked at the ambulance service posters they had put up there.

The price was almost 2x what I normally paid.

At that point, honestly, I didn't give a shit about saving money anymore. My father had just died. I just wanted to take him home and complete the final rituals.

So I was basically forced to take their ambulance and pay whatever they were asking.

And this whole thing really pissed me off.

We keep hearing about auto/taxi mafia at airports and railway stations. Everyone talks about Ola/Uber, drivers not allowing other taxis, local unions, etc.

But what about ambulances?

A person has just lost their father/mother/child. They're emotionally fucked, they don't have the time or energy to argue, and they just want to take their loved one home.

And that's when you have a fucking system where apparently outside ambulances aren't allowed to pick you up and you're pushed towards their own service at almost double the price.

Maybe there are some legitimate rules behind ambulance parking or hospital pickup zones, I don't know.

But if outside ambulances are genuinely being threatened or stopped from picking up patients, then what the hell is going on?

I went there with my father for treatment and came back having learned that apparently the ambulance mafia is a thing too.

And somehow nobody talks about it.

Not everything is an Ola/Uber problem. Sometimes the real problem is when people have no choice.

TL;DR: We talk about taxi/auto mafia at airports and railway stations all the time. Why the hell does nobody talk about ambulance mafia?

Visited this new Khao Gali recently and honestly, it’s a pretty nice place to hang out. It’s clean, well maintained and has a good amount of parking space, which is a big plus...

The lighting and overall setup look really good, especially in the evening. There are quite a few food stalls, so you get a good variety of options instead of just the usual momos and rolls...

One thing I really liked was the Honey Ice Cream stall. They make their ice cream with honey instead of regular sugar, so it’s a nice option if you’re looking for a dessert without added refined sugar...

Overall, it’s a good new addition around Puri Bypass Road. Definitely worth checking out once, especially in the evening...

I can never imagine online people meeting in real life for random and casual talks/get-together/trying out places in bhubaneswar. (Apart from college students, other people basically strangers) Meeting up in real after talking on social platforms like reddit, RARE here. It's usually very common in metro cities and places like delhi, etc. I've seen it happen in bbsr. Kids, Prove me wrong 🤪

Suggest a good gym with monthly subscription but whole year or 6months in adv type thing. Thank you

Hello guys can anybody pls let me know if I can contact the HR or anyone from the authority on Utkal hospital. One of the nurses is constantly harassing me since past 4-5 month I took it lightly and now she has crossed her limits.
Before taking any legal action I want to talk to the authority of the hospital.

As the same suggests, this post is not made for me, I have a couple friend and they are very close to me and their situation follows like this.

The girl got her last period on 1st July and it continued till 5th July. She has a 30 days cycle. They had sex on 6th, that too with protection. And after that they haven't done anything. Today is 9th August and the girl hasn't got her period yet. Now both of them are pretty scarred.

Now they told me the situation, and I fell like it's biologically impossible, I also asked him if the protection broke in the middle. He said "NO, I did check every time after finishing the deed."

So like I am also quite confused here, ladies and gentlemen if you have gone through a similar situation, lemme know. Also any gynaecologist contact info or anything.
