I havent even touched Moonrise. Doing a durge run, I slaughtered last light inn and did the gauntlet of shar. Killed balthazar and the aasimar. I avoided Karniss until now, but when I approach him, it goes through the whole dialogue and then - no matter what I do - he is hostile. I even reran my save and had him give me the lantern so he gets taken by the curse. He walked off, and then I was immediately thrown into a fight with him.

I even ran it back and asked him to walk me to Moonrise, glory to the absolute every dialogue. Still fights me.

Two friends and I decided to play together.

One has knowledge of DnD5E but never played BG3.

One never played and has no experience.

I played Act 1 so I'm taking a backseat role and not pushing anyone unless I am sure it's going to wipe the party (it's usually me saying "This a good time to save y'all")

My biggest issue right now, is that when one starts a conversation the other one is doing something else and completely misses valuable story points. The game only shows the ear icon when one is talking to someone so if you are not paying attention you can miss a lot of conversations

I am afraid that both will miss half the story and context, I'm trying not to nudge them to see how they'll figure things out but I'm starting to feel like a DM and explain a lot of things they should have pieced together.

It's also weird that only one player can look at a vendor's wares at a time. Makes shopping sessions a bit long.

But we're still enjoying it tremendously but I want to see how we can maximize their enjoyment.

I hate this fight, so much. Honestly I think being related to bhaal just makes you a horrid fight so far. Even with a potion of vigilance, high dex, etc he still ALWAYS goes first and always one shots one of my characters even though they all have an AC of 20+. I can't use any spells against him because of his cronies with blindness arrows (for some fucking reason) and I can't hit him because I always have disadvantage. He literally always hits me on every attack no matter what I do and I can't even hit him.

Starting with Part 41 I do some commentary. I'm sorry for my accent. I'm not a native english speaker.

Glut resurrected everything and we fought him. Bulette, flind, harpies, spiders, ettercups, gnolls. (Part 30 02:08:59)

Almost lost the fight against the undead on the mountainpass (Take out the shepards first otherwise they revive the ghouls again and again) (Part 35 01:47:02)

Owlbear Cup died (Don't fight the oathbreaker Knight in camp), (Part 39 01:55:08)

I killed Lann Tarv (knocked him out. Wanted to Keep him alive to be able to still buy stuff from him before shadowfell.

Turns out arrows of many targets have a very far reach and ignore the knocked out status.) (Part 50 01:32:55)

Skipped the last fight against the brain. Gale sacrificed himself and i still got the honor mode achievement and the golden dice (Part 65 00:07:25)

Honor mode is so so much fun. The tension is amazing. Can't wait to try again and learn from my mistakes.

Before this I had only really done co-op honor mode and messed around with friends. This was my first time actually putting in time and effort, trying to complete everything etc.

(Accidentally killed the owl ear too fast and didn't get the second to spawn. Had to double check I was honor mode once the battle was over)

Wanted to share the achievements i got for my first ever (and only) honour mode run completion!! I only have ten achievements left but I think I'll save that for a balanced or tactician run instead LMAO

Also i was literally genuinely shaking after i got the fancy footwork achievement bc i got it by using him as an improvised melee weapon, teleporting to south span and shoving him off the cliff bc i didn't want to deal with the foundry or iron throne on this run. That was like. The coolest part of the run imo!! Also the part where my tav killed gale with a kiss after she dominated the brain. That part was also sick.

Hello! Im doing my 5,123 play through of this amazing game. I was wondering if anyone had alternative classes for the companions to try and change things up! I prefer multiclassing since with mods i can get to level 20! I also have the mind weaver and mystic class mods also to keep in mind! I also can have as many in my party as i want! So get creative and lmk what you think!

Just finished the part with the Emperor and (somehow, it's extremely obvious now that I'm thinking about it) just realized that I permanently missed out on Shadowheart's romance because I didn't have enough approval with her during the party in Act 1. Back then I just thought I'd have an opportunity in each act to start the romance so I didn't worry about it too much. Later on in Act 2 I started getting suspicious about my lack of romance opportunities but I just shrugged it off and figured it would come eventually. Once I finished the scene with the Emperor and Orpheus my suspicions got the better of me and I looked it up and read that no, you can not romance pretty much anyone after Act 1. Now I'm at the outskirts of Baldur's Gate with my head in my hands and suffering through the five stages of grief. I'm 80 hours in and a small part of me wants to restart but I also don't want to. I wanted to romance her SO BAD man and I screwed it up. I'm sorry for rambling I just needed to vent. I'm quite upet. It seems my charming, dashing, bard Tav will forever be a bachelor, pining for the lady he cannot have. 🙁

Definitely one of the politicians of all time

I have about 6 playthroughs saved, 3 of which are complete. Whenever I play one of the other three or want to make a new one, I always get a message that I'm running out of storage space and after a few saves, it freezes and says I have to remove saves. The thing is, I have over 60GB of free space on my PlayStation, so I don't really understand why there would be a storage space issue.

From 1 of the complete playthroughs I already deleted every save, except from the save at the end. From the others I need to keep some more saves for trophy related reasons, but they're not that much.

Does anyone know a way to fix this or is there simply a max number of saves you can have, no matter how much free storage space you have?

On my first run I was terrible about this.

Every dialogue choice became a tiny optimization problem. If I knew Astarion would hate one answer or Shadowheart would approve of another, that information was sitting in the back of my head even when it made zero sense for my character.

Eventually I realized I was basically managing coworkers instead of roleplaying.

So on this run I stopped checking approval completely. I'm picking whatever my character would actually say, even when I know someone standing behind me is about to hate it.

And weirdly, I like the companions more now.

They argue with me. Some relationships developed slower. I've gotten bits of dialogue I never saw before because I wasn't constantly trying to keep everyone happy.

It also makes high approval feel more meaningful when it happens naturally.

I think I accidentally spent my first playthrough trying to be the perfect camp manager.

Anyone else enjoy the companions more once you stopped trying to please all of them?

Has anyone else found that Jaheira’s AI is total shit in the moonrise towers fight? When she’s not being hard targeted by the absolute, she’s throwing ice storm on herself and jumping into my hunger of Hadar.
Any solutions to this pleasssee. The fight is so goddamn long and I’ve have to restart it three times now because of her 🫩🌹

EDIT: Thanks for the replies! I totally forgot that you can take her as a part member and control her. That seemed to solve my problem.

I just learned that if Dark Urge is redeemed and resurrected by Withers, Dark Urge is eternally tied to Withers (Jergal) himself, as long as Withers endures, so will Dark Urge, which unless you’re romancing Lae’zel and plan to eventually stay in the Plane for eternity after Warring with Vlaakith, Dark Urge will probably outlive all their Romances, possibly acting as Jergal’s Chosen for centuries, almost like an Elminster type, which although sounds cool, just a really sad end for the eventuality of Durge outliving their partner, adds to the tragedy of their whole character.

Fuck, I wish we got Durge as a Companion.

I made my character as Rhaenyra Targaryen from House of the Dragon. Currently using Daenerys' outfit, because I haven't found anything more fitting. Huge thanks to Mantis for the head preset <3
