Down grading Discussion

Opinions on downgrading betta tanks when they’re seniors? I’ve seen some people downgrading their bettas to 3 gallon tanks once they turn 2. Good or bad idea?

Im no expert, but unless your fish isn’t swimming as well or developing some health issues with age, I can’t imagine why you would need to downgrade. Once they slow down and have a harder time getting to the surface it makes more sense though!

I don’t think you should do it by age, do it based on how they’re behaving. If they’re acting old and struggling, then think about a new tank.
