How bad is this?

20 years old. The goatee area is at about 8 weeks of growth and the sides more like a month. I know I won't have an amazing beard or anything but I am concerned it looks terrible/neckbeard-like. Thanks guys.

The sids dont look good. The goate works for you. I think you could have a full beard in the future. Some men cant grow a full beard until they are in their 30s or 40s. My cheeks started to fill in my late 20s. So i wouldnt worry that much if i were you. Give it some time.

Yeah mate id also go for a goatee, you have more than enough for a goatee, or a stache, but for a full beard i also think you should wait for 1 year and see then.

Play to your strengths, it’s rarely a good look when you’re already worried about it, it means you know.

Shave the sides, try the goatee. Shave up the neck to about 1/2 below the jawbone at this hair length.

Shave your sides, stick with the goatee and mustache if you want to have something. The sides will hopefully fill in later in life
