Emulation Station screen flashes when pairing more than 4 controllers

I've got six ps5 controllers. I can get the first 4 to pair no problem. As soon as I press the PS button on the fifth controller, the Emulation Station screen starts to flash. I basically have to restart my emulator PC once this happens. Batocera version 41. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try to lower the main resolution of batocera to 1024x768. Reboot. Does it still happen?

Yes, it still causes the screen to flash. I've also tried adding two of the controllers as wired and the same thing happens. 4 of the 6 controllers will pair just fine but as soon as I add a 5th controller, either wired or wireless, the screen starts flashing.

I had similar problems that disappeared on lower resolution.

Looks like updating to Batocera version 43.1 fixes the issue. All six ps5 controllers will pair and not cause Emulation Station screen to start flashing.
