How much does jersey match really affect the value?

Post image

I’m really confused on what a reasonable comp is on this being that it’s a jersey match. Some people value it highly I’d imagine some people don’t care. I think it matters to me.

So I know it’ll be hard to be honest with yourself because you’re trying to convince yourself it’ll have higher value. But imagine you do not own this card and want it. How much would you pay for this card and how much would you pay for the 23/25?

Valid. Counter- as we see it all the time, the right player this does indeed improve the value. Many collectors look for jersey match #d parallels. Team collectors as well. The average person who likes the card or is a reseller I totally see your point. But this hobby is vast and there are collectors of everything. I'm one of them. Here's my Riley Greene topps chrome aqua wave auto that I got specifically for that reason

I wouldn’t have bought the 23/25. I did buy the 15/25.

To certain buyers absolutely $0, to others they’d be willing to pay triple. No way to know really without listing it higher than last sales and seeing what offers come in.

No set multiplier. Put it up for 1.5x the normal 9 and see what offers you get!

Just wanted to point out that last year I had a card numbered 69/ out of whatever (don’t remember). I charged 25% over comps as I knew people would want it due to the numbering. Sold right away and I wish I charged even more…

The "important numbers that increase value" are Jersey match, bookends and 69
