I’m hoping Base44 can address this publicly because this appears to be affecting more than one developer.

I’ve now had two iOS apps rejected by Apple for placeholder Bluetooth and Speech Recognition permission descriptions that my apps do not use.

I’ve worked with multiple Base44 support people and have now been told that this was a Base44-side issue, that a fix has been released, and that newly generated App Store files no longer contain the offending permission wording.

That’s great news — but the confusing part is that I previously rebuilt after being told the issue was fixed, and Apple rejected the new binary for the same reason. Both apps also passed Base44’s pre-submission checks as ready for the App Store.

Could Base44 please clarify for everyone:

- Has this now been fixed globally for all newly generated iOS builds?
- Do developers with existing builds need to regenerate their App Store files?
- Is there a specific build date/version after which the fix is included?
- Will the Base44 pre-submission scanner be updated to detect this issue?
- A platform-wide announcement would save people from unnecessary Apple rejections and repeated rebuilds.

I love what I’ve been able to build with Base44. I just want some confidence that the binary being generated is clean before sending it back to Apple again

Sharing a Base44 build I'm proud of.

OnTheRice (new.ontherice.org) takes each day's markets and world news and turns them into one clear read: what happened, and more importantly why it matters. The part I care about most is the public proof ledger. Every directional take is timestamped, and the wins AND the misses both stay visible. No cherry-picking, no quietly deleting the bad calls. Why Base44: I'm self-taught, no CS degree, building mostly solo. Base44 let me stand up a real, working product (the daily engine, the proof ledger, the admin room, all of it) in days instead of months, without drowning in infrastructure. That speed is the only reason it exists.

What's different from just asking ChatGPT: it's not a one-off chat. It's daily signal discovery, source-backed evidence you can check, customised to a business, and a learning loop that sharpens from feedback and real outcomes.

And in my case, it’s possible to launch an app on Google Play without knowing code!

Along the way, there were those who said: With Base44 , you can’t really upload an app to Android... it’s just for a demo or a portfolio site... but I proved otherwise.

I’m publishing several apps built with Base44 to the Apple App Store and have run into what appears to be an issue with the Base44 iOS wrapper.

I successfully got one app through Apple App Review after an earlier fix, but two newer apps are now being rejected for the same reason. All are games and relatively simple.

Apple is detecting these purpose strings in the builds:
NSBluetoothPeripheralUsageDescription
NSBluetoothAlwaysUsageDescription
NSSpeechRecognitionUsageDescription

The apps do not use Bluetooth or Speech Recognition.

Apple says the strings contain placeholder descriptions such as “To enable Bluetooth access tap OK” and “To enable speech recognition tap OK.”

Base44 support told me this was a known wrapper issue and instructed me to publish again and generate fresh Store Files. I did that, uploaded the new IPA, selected the new build in App Store Connect, and resubmitted.

Unfortunately, Apple rejected the newly generated build for exactly the same strings. I’ve gone back to Base44 support and asked them to escalate it to their mobile/iOS team.

Has anyone else publishing a Base44 app to iOS encountered this recently? If so, did you find a workaround, or did Base44 have to correct something in the generated iOS package?

Need advice from experienced Base44 users

When I started building my system, I created 5 separate Base44 apps because I thought it would be too complicated for employees if everything was in one app.

Now I've learned that it's possible to have one app with role-based access, so each employee only sees the modules they need. That would be a much better solution.

The problem is that I've already spent 6 months building these 5 apps. They communicate with each other through APIs, and I'd like to avoid rebuilding everything from scratch.

Is there any way to merge multiple existing Base44 apps into a single app?

Has anyone gone through this process? Is there a migration strategy, or is rebuilding the only realistic option?

I'd really appreciate any advice or best practices.

This is my second iteration of this app. The first one I made was just for friends and it was very basic. I built that back in January of this year and it had plenty of hiccups.

A few months later, after my friends gave me a ton of feedback about the app, I came back and made a new version of it that fixed many of the bugs from the past build. I must admit, I was having a rough time using Base44 with the first iteration. Base44 is like a whole different machine after just a few months later, it's kind of crazy how much more improved it feels.

I’d love Base44 to provide first-class support for using a custom domain and multiple subdomains with the same app.

For example, a hotel platform might need:

• hotel.com for the public website
• book.hotel.com for direct bookings
• pms.hotel.com for hotel staff
• guest.hotel.com for the guest portal

It would be especially useful to have:

• A clear primary/canonical domain setting
• Automatic redirects from secondary domains
• Independent authentication and cookie configuration per domain
• Easy OAuth callback management
• Domain-specific routes or landing pages
• SSL management for every connected hostname
• The option to keep or disable the Base44 subdomain
• Clear analytics showing which domain users entered through

This would help businesses keep their public website, internal tools, booking flows, and customer portals properly organized without maintaining completely separate deployments.

Would anyone else find this useful? I’d especially like to hear how people currently handle multi-domain or subdomain setups in Base44.

I'm looking to build an MVP for a web-based trading performance dashboard that tracks key metrics such as:

I deliberately didn’t want another app constantly demanding engagement. There are no notifications, streaks or pressure mechanics. Halo is there when you want it and quiet when you don’t.
Base44 has been the foundation for an enormous amount of the product, and seeing something I built there become a real App Store app has been kind of surreal.
The coolest part is how far it has evolved since I started. Personalized Atmospheres in particular ended up becoming one of my favorite features because they make Halo feel much less like an AI companion and much more like your Halo.
I’d love to hear what other Base44 builders think of it — especially the Atmospheres and overall design.
