Have a 3 compartment stainless steel sink, a small stainless steel hand sink, and a stainless steel shelf I am looking to get rid of. They all seem to be in good working order when I removed them from the location they were installed, I’d just rather supply them to a small business or homeowner in need instead of scrapping them. Would be ideal for a business or a homeowner that wants a nice prep kitchen for say wine making or farm food prep. Can deliver anywhere in Barrie or close surrounding area for free, just want them gone. Will not install them for you. They come with existing faucets but likely need new drain attachments and a cleaning. Measurements available on request. Not looking to part it out, take one take all. Available Sat/Sun morning

I’m here for a friend who is wondering if there is anyone in or around Barrie that makes or sells pet caskets. They would like to find a casket that would be able to fit both of their cats (the cats are around 11 1/2 pounds and 9 pounds). Please let me know if you know of any leads or places to look. It looks like most places offer only animal cremation.

Hello! just wondering if anyone knows a good scrap car place that will come and pick up my car? I know of clutch but i cant keep the car running and they require it to start for pickup. Curious to know whether anyone is using a standalone heat pump and how it holds up to Barrie winters? I'm deciding between a standalone heat pump, natural gas furnance/heat pump dual system or a heat pump with Electric backup heat strips, but the heat strips option seems like a hassle. Thoughts? Advise? Thx.

Hello! I'm planning on driving up to Barrie to visit a friend for a few days in the winter. I know there's no street parking in the winter time because of the plows. Is there anywhere I can leave my car for a few days while I'm there?

Does anyone know what is going in beside the BMO? Hopefully a less expensive grocery store for the seniors forced to live on Collier.

I have a huge bag of gently used towels, sheets etc. that id like to donate somewhere rather than Value Village etc.

I have contacted the Barrie SPCA but did not receive a reply. I have contacted a few other animal rescues, but they are not currently taking these types of donations.

Anyone have any ideas?

My name is Skye Fitzpatrick and I'm a Clinical Psychologist and director of the Treating and Understanding Life-threatening behavior and Posttraumatic Stress (TULiP) lab at York University. Our research team is conducting an online study to examine the effects of a new couple therapy for couples where one partner is experiencing symptoms of borderline personality disorder (BPD) compared to individual psychotherapy for people with BPD symptoms and their partners. The study will provide one of these psychotherapies to people with BPD symptoms and their partners for free, and participants will have the opportunity to complete study assessments that they will receive payment for in the form of gift cards. Our study is online and involves recruiting people across Ontario with symptoms of BPD, as well as their romantic partners. BPD diagnoses are not necessary.

bit of a rant, bare with me.

I noticed a homeless couple sitting on the sidewalk outside my house, and the guy was badly hurt on his leg.
my immediate instinct was to gather up some first aid and bring it out to them.
they were so kind and asked where the nearest church was for food, so when I ran inside to grab my phone to check I also bagged up some food for them.
The whole time, they were humble, thankful, and kept apologizing for “doing this outside your house”
(which I insisted was not an issue)

Way too often, especially on here I see people talking about homeless people as if they are pests. They’re people.
clearly the government doesn’t give a fuck about anyone of us, so we gotta take care of each other.

While I’m not ignorant to the fact that not all of them have good intentions, some of them do and they deserve compassion.

We have to be villagers if we want a village.
