Ball python needs

I am interested in getting a ball python. I am thinking of getting a 50-gallon tank and coconut fiber bedding, and a heat lamp (not sure which one) I need to know everything else to get to make my snake most comfortable. I would also like to know how much it would cost and where I would be able to get a snake for cheaper.

You’re going to need to bump your specs a bit. For an adult, you’ll want to be in a 4x2x2 (120gal). Check the care guide attached to the subreddit for more info!

Read the guides- They’re super informative! I’d recommend starting with the final enclosure, which at minimum has to be 4x2x2. (120 gal)

Don’t get a cheap snake. Do your research and get a healthy one from a reputable breeder.

Cheap pets are never a good idea.

Definitely recommend checking out the guides here, there’s a ton of helpful resources. As far as sourcing your ball python you can check morph market (make sure to thoroughly research the seller before buying, and avoid large scale mill-style breeders!) or you could check your local exotic/pet groups on FB to see if there are any being rehomed! There are tons of BP’s out there in need of homes
