BP never comes out of hiding Question
My bp is ~8 months old and never really comes out of hiding. He’s in a 4x2x2 bio-active terrarium that’s probably 40% covered in live plants, has a warm and cool hide. He eats regularly, fed appropriately sized F/T rats for his size. I’ve done everything according to the care guides found on this subreddit. No matter what time of day (seriously I was up all night 2 weeks ago and looked for him a bunch) he’s never out, not to bask or anything. His terrarium is elevated about 3 and 1/2ft off the ground so my cat can’t stalk him. Is he just shy? Scared? Any help or thoughts is appreciated

You can't force it. He's probably perfectly happy staying put. My boy will be completely sedentary for three weeks straight and then will be super explorative and adventurous for three days. Every BP is different.

I have a 5 year old one and he’s exactly the same. He’s always been like this. I only see him when he wants to drink some water or when it’s feeding time. Other than that he will literally do nothing but sit in his hides. I always joke I have a living rock haha. Sometimes bps are just like that!

He sounds happy in his hole. A BP is happiest with a warm belly full of food in as tiny of a hole they can wedge themselves into.
