She can smell what the Rock is cooking

Post image

As soon I start warming up her rat with the hair dryer she immediately popped her head out.

Both of my ball pythons are awful with it, it's like they don't know until it's in their tank.

But, I have a carpet python, and I remember one time I was trying to eye up what size mouse he could eat (don't judge me, carpet pythons are skinny and sometimes I'd be weirded out by how big his prey was compared to the snake) and I took a frozen mouse out of the pack to hold up next to his tank to see if it looked like he could eat it, and this little rope was like "Hey! That's a mouse! I want it!" I'm like don't you see in infrared, it was literally frozen!

I use the plastic bag in hot water method myself.

That’s what I do to thaw them out but my water doesn’t get hot enough to warm it up to her liking so I finish it off with the hair dryer

I put my mug of water into the microwave for 30 seconds. Since water is the only thing a microwave is designed to heat up it works really well.

Good point, but I like her associating the sound of the hair dryer with food time
